Calligraphy zoom tuition one to one: live online with Gaynor Goffe. 1. hour per class. All scripts including 'modern' pointed pen calligraphy, and especially italic, one of the most useful and versatile calligraphic scripts, tuition suitable for all levels from beginners to advanced. You can learn a script of your choice, discussed in advance, with plenty of demonstration. You can also, if wanted, experiment with scripts and work towards finished calligraphic compositions, and for the Calligraphy & Lettering Arts Society Certificates & Diplomas for which I am an examiner. Structure of lessons: brief tutor/student intro. Frequent tutor demonstrations followed by student work. Feedback on student work held to the camera. Video of lesson sent if required. Detailed feedback of e-mailed work available by arrangement for a reasonable additional charge. Gaynor is a well-known professional calligrapher and tutor, having taught internationally for 4 decades. She works to commission and for exhibition and has written 2 calligraphy books. and designed a typeface 'Hamada' for Linotype, She is a long-standing Fellow of the Calligraphy & Lettering Arts Society and the Society of Scribes & Illuminators.

A qualified teacher, I trained in calligraphy, illumination and heraldic painting at Reigate School of Art on a specialist course in the 1970's, followed by 3 years as assistant to well-known calligrapher Donald Jackson, and have spent 40 years teaching calligraphy internationally at all levels, including degree level, working to commission and for exhibition. A longstanding fellow of the Calligraphy & Lettering Arts Society and Society of Scribes & Illuminators, and have written two books.
