Course Start DatesSunday 23rd February 2020
About the Course
Learn how to make your own set of natural soap bars, using plant based using natural and ethically sourced ingredients. Personalise your bars by picking out natural pigments and essential oils that can care for your skin.
A variety of ingredients can be added to make the soaps more cleansing, exfoliating or nourishing. We will explore these at the beginning of the class, picking out clays, charcoal and other plant based pigments to create a set of unique soap bars. You will also have access to our library of natural essential oils to add to your recipes.
Once essential oil blends and pigments have been decided, we will begin making the base of your soap using a tried and tested recipe created by Sarah, founder of Wabi. Detailed instructions will be provided to refer back to, as well as a demonstration given to all of the class. We will cover all the need-to-know steps for cold process soap making. 6 bars will be made in the workshop.
The soaps will take one day set, and 30 days to cure. A silicone mould is provided to take you soap bars home with you that day - meaning you have a soap mould for future your future soap making projects!
The workshop will take place in the studio of Wabi Skincare, a natural skincare company based in East London.
