A great opportunity to make a beautiful set of jewellery using polymer clay cabochons to imitate semi-precious stones. These will be mounted into bezel settings as pendants and earrings in a choice of different coloured base metals.
You will learn about conditioning the clay, mixing colours and creating various veneers using different techniques and curing the clay in the oven. The cabochons can then be finished with non-toxic resin and a UV light.
There will be plenty of demos throughout the day with lots of time for students to experiment with the various techniques. Individual attention will be given to the students with advice on colour and design considerations. All materials and equipment will be provided. What you learn on this wonderful workshop can easily be carried out at home with a minimal outlay on equipment.
