Bodice / Sloper Drafting

X

Description

We have now added a new pattern drafting workshop to our catalogue.

This is an extension to our 'Introduction to Pattern Cutting' Workshop, in which you will learn how to successfully draft a bodice block to your own personal measurements.

The bodice block/sloper can then be used to go on to create many different designs whether it be blouses, dresses, shirts and tops.

We will provide you with a handout to use in the workshop. You will draft your bodice block on paper, then transfer it onto the card to take home.

This is the perfect workshop if you want to start creating your own patterns at home.

Workshop Breakdown:

Creating your own body measurement chart
Taking body measurements correctly
Drafting the bodice block
Incorporating different bust sizing in the front block, while keeping a good fit at the back and shoulder
Checking your pattern for fit purposes
Book recommendations for using your blocks at home

A basic understanding of maths is required for this workshop. You will be using a calculator, tape measure and ruler in the workshop.
