About the Course
Come and learn the beautiful art of block printing. No previous experience needed! Using wooden contemporary blocks designed in the UK and handcrafted in India, you will learn how to mix colours to create tonal balance and a host of printing techniques to enable you to create your own textiles. Keep them for yourself or give as gifts.
We will start the session with a short demonstration on how to print successfully. Next, you will have the opportunity to have ago at printing onto practise material, before deciding on your finally designs for your fabric items. All your practise pieces won't be going to waste! We will show you how you can use these to create even more lovely things.
You will be printing;
An apron with pockets
A cotton tea towel
A display napkin (really useful for laying in a bread basket)
Two cards and envelopes.
We keep this workshop to a maximum of 6 students.
All our workshops are help in our warm and bright purpose built studio in Harpenden, Hertfordshire.
