Make a textured, shaped and personalised silver brooch, pendant or pair of earrings

Description

Explore a variety of jewellery making techniques and use your creative flair to design and make your own unique silver pendant, brooch, and/or pair of earrings. In small groups of up to six, you will be shown how to add texture to silver sheet using a rolling mill, how to saw shapes and how to dome, drill, solder, circle punch, oxidise and polish your silver to produce high quality jewellery. This all day workshop is a great place to come and let your creative juices flow, whilst chatting, hammering and playing with metal! Ideal for beginners or those wanting to improve their skills. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided. You will need to bring a packed lunch. Age 14+ (14 & 15 year olds must be accompanied by an adult) Private classes can be arranged for groups of 4-6 people,

What's included in the price?

One day's tuition plus any brass/copper used. Silver is supplied at the workshop but will need to be paid for on the day. This can be between £5-£50 depending on the size of what you make.

With over ten years jewellery making experience I am passionate about the different processes and alchemy involved in jewellery making. I have been running silver and gold jewellery making workshops at my studio since 2014. Sharing my enthusiasm for jewellery making is something that I really enjoy and it is important to me to do so in an environment that is comfortable and pleasant for anyone who comes to learn.
