I’ve wanted to do a jewellery course for such a long time and my husband kindly bought me this for Christmas. I have never done any jewellery making before and I am so happy with what we achieved in one day!, the rings are beautiful! Sarah was very clear, patient and friendly. It was also great to talk to Sarah about other jewellery projects she is working on, very inspiring. I would urge anyone considering this course to go for it!
I spent a fabulous Sunday with Sarah making a set of 4 stacking rings. Sarah was very welcoming and her studio is very well equipped. Sarah's teaching style is relaxed and encouraging and she has a wealth of knowledge and experience. I had never made jewellery before and whilst happy with a sewing machine I was not used to power tools and soldering. Sarah made me feel at ease and carefully demonstrated each process on her own item and then watched and encouraged whilst I completed the process myself. I would thoroughly recommend attending one of Sarah's classes and will be aiming to go back to make another piece of jewellery - luckily I don't live that far away.
This was my first experience of making jewellery and I am hooked. Sarah is a fantastic teacher, very clear with her instruction and demonstration of every step. My 71 year old mum came too and we will definitely be returning to do more. Thank you Sarah for a great 2 days
Absolutely fantastic day spent with Sarah, who's is passionate about her work, patient and talented.
My rings are beautiful... And I'm amazed I made them myself . My only regret is that I couldn't have spent a week there!
I would highly recommend this course to anyone interested in making jewellery.
Thank you Sarah. X
What a fabulous day. Sarah is a lovely, patient and knowledgeable teacher. A very relaxed yet intense, satisfying and enjoyable day making some beautiful (and well received) jewellery. It suited me well as an intermediate dabbler in jewellery techniques but I’m confident that Sarah could take an absolute beginner through all of the techniques.
I cannot recommend this course highly enough.
I bought the course for my girlfriend for Christmas and decided that it would be more fun if we did it together - that turned out to be two great decisions in a row. Sarah is a really great and patient teacher, and we had such a fun and absorbing weekend. The workshop is brilliant, cosy and full of tools and machines that seem alien on arrival but you've got a good working knowledge of before you leave. I'm in no way arty (my partner has all the skills in that area) but Sarah was great from beginning to end, and we both ended up with a beautiful set of stacking rings.
We spent much longer in the workshop over the weekend than we had expected, and it was really satisfying to make something from start to finish. Things seem daunting on arrival, but Sarah is such a nice person, and a really patient teacher, that every step just builds a little on the one before, and gradually the finished article emerges.
The constant cups of tea and seemingly never-ending supply of biscuits and cake were also extremely welcome. If you've got even the slightest interest in making your own rings, or trying something new, you should do this course.
The most wonderful day was had with the lovely Sarah. My rings are exactly what I wanted and I absolutely love them. The tuition was thorough, well explained and Sarah helped me to have fun whilst making my Jewellery in a relaxed environment. I highly recommend Sarah and I would love to make more jewellery with her. Even the 4 hour round trip wouldn’t put me off. Massive thank you Sarah and also to your husband who mended my car whilst we worked on my masterpieces.
