"Great upholstery course making small footstools, Jo was amazing, giving us step by step, jargon free instructions (and notes to take home) she taught us techniques transferable to making simple chairs, headboards and larger footstools, and I actually feel confident enough to attempt these! Thoroughly enjoyed the day ‘making’, not to mention the plentiful hot drinks, homemade cakes and lovely company. Grappenhall Heys Garden is a beautiful place in itself, and the perfect backdrop to this fab course, lunch at the cafe was lovely. Will likely book another craft course with Jo. Thank you so much!"

The course was set at a perfect pace with all the materials provided, not to mention delicious snacks. Venue was amazing. "What a fabulous day I spent at the Boho Shed. Jo taught me so much and within a couple of hours I was already applying these new techniques in practice. I took a small wooden table to the session and after painting it, and then stencilling, distressing and dry brushing my test piece, it was totally transformed. I didn't know such good results could be achieved so quickly. The day was super relaxed and a great success. Thanks Jo !"

"Attended a L1 painting techniques course @ Grappenhall with the lovely Jo. Learned some great techniques stencilling, distressing, crackling, dry brushing, and all about the different paints and finishes available to use. Jo explains everything really well, you get a chance to practice them all first and then you decide which ones you want to apply to your own piece(s). Really great day, with a lovely group, in beautiful surroundings - highly recommended."

"I had a lovely day at grappenhall yesterday learning some new furniture painting skills. I had a lovely time with 3 other ladies. This is the second workshop ive been on of jo's, again she didn't disapoint. I learned new skills on different painting and finishing methods that i will use in my inspiration to do more at home. I completed a mirror using some of the techniques and changed a dull mirror into something worth using again. Thank you jo for another great day and im sure i will see you again very soon."

"What a fantastic day, I was lucky enough to be on the course with a lovely lady and our tutor Jo who made us both feel very at home and welcome. Having never attempted upholstery, I was soon put at my ease and encouraged throughout, I’ve got the bug now and would recommend this course to anyone. A really fun and relaxing experience and a fantastic and fun tutor (with lots of patience). I was thrilled with my footstool and will be back to try another skill. It was really nice to do something for myself, be spoilt with endless tea and home made cake and two great ladies for company, what’s not to like you must give it a try."
