"I went on this day footstool workshop with my daughter. We had a lovely day with 6 other really nice ladies, chatting and eating cake and drinking tea and coffee whilst being guided by the patient and very helpful Jo. It was a very productive day and we were able to take home our fabulous individual footstools. I would highly recommend this day to anyone of all abilities, you will be surprised what you can do after a few hours. My daughter loved it."

"My daughter and I had lovely day at Grappenhall making a footstool. With the help and guidance from Jo, we both made stools to be proud of. What a lovely way to spend a Saturday making something worthwhile to take home. We were with a lovely group of 6 other ladies, and had wonderful time. Thank you so much for the delicious cakes. I would highly recommend this day course."

"A fabulous day making a super gorgeous footstool. The workshop tutored by Jo was excellent - great tuition, support and guidance at a good pace. I was so pleased with my new skills that I’ve ordered equipment and materials to make another, slightly bigger, footstool for another room. My return journey was nearly 200 miles but well worth the trip and I hope to do more of Jo’s courses. Very highly recommended!"

"My daughter and I had a fabulous day yesterday at Grappenhall Heyes, learning to upholster a footstool. Jo was such a great teacher, so helpful and because the group was only 6 lovely ladies, there was lots of one to one time available and nothing too much trouble. Delicious cakes and bottomless tea and coffee! And the best is we all came away with beautiful footstools ?"

Jo is an incredibly enthusiastic and patient teacher and clearly demonstrated the various techniques that you could to use in your project. She spent time with everyone and gave ideas and suggestions to help you get the most out of the day. Lovely venue and yummy cakes. Highly recommend ?"

"Went on the beginner’s furniture painting course. Lovely location with great food. The course itself was excellent. Jo is a very patient tutor. Methods are clearly explained and demonstrated. Although I had taken a large project I was still able to finish and I was very pleased with the result. I fully recommend this course to everyone."

"I went on a furniture painting level 1 workshop with Jo. I absolutely loved the day, Jo gave me lots of skills and tips how to use techniques such as stencilling, distressing, crackling, waxing and dry brushing to transform an old chair. The environment is lovely and the food very tasty from the cafe. Jo provided drinks and lovely cakes throughout the day. She gave me the confidence to try the techniques and I have definitely got the bug to continue transforming furniture, thank you Jo for a lovely day x"

"What a lovely day! Jo was very knowledgeable and a great teacher. She showed us some techniques and gave us all individual tips as we tried them out. Then when we worked on our own items she was again busy overseeing and advising us. She was totally unfazed and professional when there was a power issue and her scones were spot on too! Thanks Jo!"

"This is a great course, it can be a “just of fun”or it’s a really good intro to upholstery and gives you plenty of skills to set you up for your own home project.
