Hi, I'm Lea!
I live in the hills in Mid Wales, here at our creative retreat centre, with a holiday cottage, cabin, pod and gypsy caravan for guests to stay in.
I teach creative yarn spinning, beginners spinning, drop spindle, wet felting, creative crochet & knitting, recycled textiles, & wild weaving.
I teach personal classes and group retreats.
"Lea is an excellent tutor, with a great breadth of knowledge. The comfortable venue is well equipped with the tools that you will need. Lea explains clearly, giving reasons, and supports your weaving practice. As an older learner I was pleased to find that Lea was happy to repeat any areas where I was having difficulty remembering what to do, and Lea gave me a review of the whole process as a final section.
Lea has many techniques available to her that I personally did not have time to learn such as different fringe techniques to the shawl. Lea showed me how to incorporate several types of fancy yearns such as art yarn and eyelash.
An enthusiastic teacher, I am happy to endorse this course. "
Lea Wild Creative responded:
"Thank you so much for your lovely review Jane. I'm glad you enjoyed your course. It was a pleasure to have you both here, and your woven shawl is very beautiful! "
"Thank you Lea for a very pleasant and inspiring experience. You taught me all the basic things I need to know about preparing the wool fibre for spinning and also spinning some of it on a double treadle spinning wheel."
