Description
A blissful day of journal book making in the Welsh hills, making your own beautiful book, either to use for art journaling, or as a writing journal, or diary. Arrive to a choice of beautiful handmade papers, paints, inks, pens, stencils, stamps, threads, and haberdashery, and feel free to bring along any things that are special to you if you would like to incorporate them into your work. You will have everything you need available to work from to make and bind your own journal. A deeply creative and therapeutic craft, which you can take home and carry forward to play with, indulge in, dip in and out of, or make into a daily practice if you wish, even just a few minutes a day of fun and easy creative expression. Learn different layering techniques, work with collage, paint, print, stitch, and play with all the different tools and materials provided to see what you like. Learn how to put pages together and how to bind your own book. If there is time after you have made your book, you can get started on some creative art journaling, learning how to make fun pages in your journal, for an intuitive, mixed media, relaxed approach to art. Or if your book is intended for creative writing, you could add some decor to some of the pages, making borders and little details to embellish your book. Take your journal home to add to and continue working on. The workshop may have others attending, or might be just yourself. If you would prefer a one to one session please message me via the 'message the tutor' button below. If you are travelling to get here, there is a farm cottage and a cabin on site that may be available for you to book.
