"This course was excellent. Catherine was very knowledgeable in her subject (she is a medical herbalist) and happy to share her experience with us. She had a great range of products to use with different oils, colours and scents so we could personalise our soaps. Everything was supplied and you get to take your soaps home. Jessica Santisteban reviewed: One-to-one 3 day lampshade making masterclass including business startup guide for crafters

"I had the pleasure of spending 3 amazing days at Moji’s studio in Brighton, England. I learned how to make the gathered and pleated lampshades - it was such a wonderful experience, I did not want it to end! I wish I had booked 5 days, so I will need to return for more classes in the future. Moji is a wonderful teacher, it's clear her skills and knowledge are honed from decades of experience. I appreciated all her business advice, she genuinely offers her wisdom to you. More than that, she is so enjoyable to spend the day with and we had a lot of fun together. I went home with 2 beautiful lampshades and I’m so excited to buy the supplies and start making more! "

Jo K Bloomfield reviewed: Introduction to candle-making as a business

"Hi Jo, I just wanted to thank you for your time and knowledge during the “candle making as a business” course on Friday last week. You were very welcoming and very generous with your skills and knowledge. I loved every minute of it from the lovely location and your workshop to the lunch which was delicious, I’m just sad I didn’t try the cake ! I have definitely learnt a lot and more importantly testing which was an unknown territory for me. I love the oil burner I bought and have very much enjoyed the candles I bought for myself too, energise is just lovely. You are very talented Jo. I’ll definitely be back when I’m ready for a 1-1. If anyone is contemplating booking this course… do it ! You most definitely won’t regret it. Thank you again and if I don’t speak before, have a wonderful holiday you most definitely deserve it. Warm regards Jo KB"

Richard reviewed: Creating a Viking knife an introduction to forging and knife making at Bearded Pig Forge

"This was a fantastic introduction to blacksmithing, with Spike being a patient and empathetic tutor. It is hot and strenuous work. The day goes by really quickly. Spike is helpful, and in no way patronising to clearly struggling beginners (me!), and, at the end of the day, you leave with a functioning product. I'd recommend this course to anyone (but maybe consider going when the climate outside is slightly cooler!)"

Ollii Park reviewed: Wooden mechanical toy (automata) making

"Stef and I had an incredible day together working on a mechanical toy. His insight into the mechanics and his generosity left me beyond satisfied with what I had paid for. At the start of the day, I threw a curveball in his direction, discussing an entirely new mechanism for a concept I had, and without a beat, he jumped onboard, and we spent the rest of the day prototyping and creating a working concept for me to take home. I cannot thank Stef enough for his open thinking and expertise, an incredibly rewarding, enjoyable day and I will definitely be contacting him again! "

Penlan Crafts responded:

"I am the one that should thank you Ollii! I had a lot of fun designing and building something new with you. You are very creative, and a very skilfull craftsman, and it was a pleasure (and a challenge, sometimes!) putting my (limited) knowledge at your disposal for your new project. I’d be happy to continue exchanging ideas and to further discuss the concept… "
