Brian mazzella reviewed: Axe / Hammer Forging Day

"What an amazing day and awesome experience. I did the axe making public course and it was by far one of the best things I have done in a long time. Alex is so friendly and has a massive amount of knowledge on everything blacksmithing. Was a pleasure to meet and get to know him throughout the day. I would highly recommend going to him for a corse and I will be booking on many more courses with him in the coming year. "

Mel K reviewed: Eco Printing

"Jacqui & Peter were very welcoming and accommodating, with a ready supply of hot drinks and biscuits throughout the day. Easy to find in a tranquil setting, it was the perfect ā€˜get away from the hustle’, location to connect with nature. We were blessed with good weather, but the site has excellent shelters to work under if not, with a log burner and open fire for chilly days. Eco-printing, led by Jacqui, was great fun and educational, providing a fab starting point for beginners, with tips, tricks, resources and signposts to further enquiry. The excitement as we opened our bundles of fabric made me feel like a kid again! Would highly recommend this company and I hope to go back again to learn more."

Brian Ford reviewed: Contemporary Gilding (Half day) in the Peak District

"***** This half day course was both enjoyable and very useful. As a complete beginner I felt I learnt a lot, while realising that I would need a lot of practice to be able to apply this to my own small projects. Amelia Jane was very encouraging and the time raced away. I would attend a follow-up course if this became available. Thanks also to Zantium Studios for excellent tea and lemon drizzle cake!"

Zantium Studios Ltd responded:

"Thankyou Brian for your lovely comments. This was a new course for us here at Zantium so we are delighted to receive such positive feedback. We are looking into options for a full day's Gilding workshop in the future. Enjoy your new-found skills and good luck with your creative projects."

"Margot’s rag rugging workshop was brilliant! We learned and had a go at three different rag rugging techniques and all equipment and materials were provided. I think it’s a very therapeutic and relaxing craft and I’m so glad that I booked. Margot was really welcoming and informative; I also loved meeting Norma who gave me lots of tips. All the ladies on the course were friendly too and great company. What I found really lovely was that Margot donates all the money she makes to charity! I am looking forward to my next course with Margot. "
