Sue Smith reviewed: Stained Glass Leaded Panel in New Romney, Kent

"I had a really enjoyable day taking part in the stained glass leaded panel course. The small class size made for a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with plenty of one-to-one attention. The tuition was excellent – clear, patient, and very supportive throughout, even for beginners. Lunch and afternoon cream tea were both provided and added a lovely touch to the day. It was a great balance of learning a new skill and enjoying some time out. I’d definitely recommend this course to anyone interested in stained glass or looking to try something creative for a day."

Bruce Harryman reviewed: Beginners Knife Forging Day

"Had a great day at Hammer and Hound under Alex’s expert guidance. Really enjoyed all aspects of making the knife that I got to take home, and picking up skills and techniques along the way. Nothing was rushed or too much trouble, and whilst we were given the opportunity learn through trial and error, Alex was always ready to step in when help was needed. All in all a fabulous present."

Moira wright reviewed: Willow Basket Weaving - with Rachel Evans (2 days) in the Peak District

"Fab course lots of individual attention. The reason there’s not 5/5 is because at the end we weren’t given instructions for snipping the extra lengths of willow inside the basket and for a couple of us this meant the final basket has lots of slipped weaves etc… such a shame as the teaching was otherwise excellent and I suspect was simply an oversight because others needed attention at the time ."

Zantium Studios Ltd responded:

"Thankyou, Moira, for your feedback. So glad you enjoyed your course with us. We take a maximum of 6 people on this class to ensure everyone gets plenty of individual tuition. Your comment on trimming has been noted by the tutor to be sure this element is given additional emphasis next time. "

Tim Weaver reviewed: Soil health and amendments with biofertilizers

"Whilst I knew a little bit about the microbes that inhabit the soil, I knew nothing about the soil amendments and fertilizers that can be made relatively easily and cheaply. Penni was a engaging tutor who explained how they are prepared and their benefits for plants and soil. I enjoyed the course and look forward to trying out some of the products that we learned about. I would recommend this course."

Cilrath Acre responded:

"Thank you so much for this lovely feedback, Tim. I'll pass your comments on to Peni. I hope we may see you again sometime. We'll be running some composting courses in the autumn, so keep an eye out here and on our Facebook page. Best wishes, Karen"

"Wonderful introduction to the skills and techniques needed by the tutor, Ann, who was very patient with the 'newbie'! The instructions were very clear and friendly and the pots available were excellent. The process is very exciting and we were all fascinated by the results. We fired four pots each and each time the result was a complete surprise. This is my second time and would definitely recommend it to anyone."

Alan reviewed: Spanish and Mexican Tapas

"Had a wonderful day with Phil on Spanish and Mexican Tapas cooking course. I was fortunate as it was 1;1. The experience began from the moment I arrived at his wonderful home. Phil was most welcoming and took his time to explain each dish we made whilst also telling me how his love for cooking began. We had morning coffee, tasting some of the dishes we had prepared, and lunch followed with further dishes we had created. Phil’s friendliness made the experience all the more enjoyable. I left with many dishes we had made and learnt a great deal in a relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely be trying Tapas at home. Thank you so much for a great day."

Country Cooking Courses responded:

"Alan Great day enjoyed your company your cooking skills made it an enjoyable day as I guess you are quite an accomplished chef yourself Thank you for your kind review and perhaps see you again on other courses Kind Regards Phil"
