You work at your own pace and Edward is happy to go back and explain again if you get stuck. I found Edwards aproach to teaching the art of caning very proffesional and relaxed at the same time. This is a dying craft, so well done to Edward for passing his knowledge forward. Definately well worth doing. Thank you Sue"

Heather Jolley reviewed: Silver Clay Christmas fun two days workshop.

"This course is amazing, Ana is such a knowledgeable person. Kind and considerate with lots of stories from her years of experience. A warm welcome awaits you on this magical adventure, and it is a pure magical experience, starting off with something you’ve made in what is seemingly clay, watching it turn in to fine silver. I totally get the science behind the process but still it blows my mind. Ana you are an amazing person and I look forward to taking more of your courses and learning from your vast experience and wealth of knowledge xx "

A CAT Jewellery responded:

"Hi Heather Thank you so much for such wonderful review. It was a pleasure to show you the basics and some of the more advanced skills. You weren't deterred by difficulty of some of techniques and made some intricate pieces which you should be very proud. It was lovely to meet you. Looking forward to our next class. xx "

Colin Groombridge reviewed: Box making weekend

"This is the second course I have attended with Andrew this year in his relaxing and well equipped workshop which, in itself, is testament to how enjoyable an experience it is. Andrew caters for everyone, from beginners to those with more experience, and though this course is only 2 days you get to cover plenty of ground such as how to bookmatch veneer for the lid, how to glue the box together using a simple jig to ensure it is square, how to use a router to cut slots for the hinges ensuring that fitting the lid is a simple process and, of course, using his favourite hand tool, a scraper, to prepare the surfaces to take a finish. At the end of the course you take away the box plus enough suede to enable completion at home. I would highly recommend this course and am already making plans to book another course for next year."

smartBoxmaker responded:

"Hi, Colin - I'm glad you enjoyed the course, and thanks for your kind words! The workshop is even better equipped now having just been completely rewired! I look forward to seeing you again in 2026 for the next one ..."
