The Craft Barn is a beautiful venue and directions provided were easy to follow. Such an uplifting experience! "

"Pete and Jacqui were very welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. Their instructing was aimed perfectly for the four novices in the class, enough for the students to understand what was needed and to proceed safely. They were always attentive, so when we hit a 'how do I do this moment' they allowed you to try and work it out, but didn't leave you hanging for long before guiding you. I would highly recommend this course for anyone who has always wanted to try basic working with wood, and as a bonus you come away with a beautiful chopping board that you made yourself! We will definately be back to try something else."

"Really enjoyed this course, it was loads of fun and came away with a sense of achievement, I have wanted to try blacksmithing for ages as I find it fascinating. This one day introduction was bought as a gift, best present husband has ever given. The experience has given me a taste for it and want to try the tin smithing next, hint hint..... The blacksmith John is a lovely chap, very friendly and knowledgeable and like most talented craftspeople, he makes it looks easy. Thanks so much for the fab experience and archaeology chat."

"As a beginner, the woodcarving course was excellent. Geraint is a very patient tutor with an excellent knowledge and way of passing on this knowledge. At times I was unsure if I would finish my project but I did with 15 minutes to spare! Middleton Hall is a lovely location, and it was idyllic working on the lawn in the sun. I have already signed up for the newsletter for next year’s class dates! Thank you for a most enjoyable weekend - now to buy some more tools 😊"

"I bought this set so I could have fun and creative time with my nieces and nephew during summer holiday. They are 9, 8 and 6 years old. We liked it a lot. The kit has everything you need to create your own unique prints and we used all. The YouTube instructions were very helpful even though I had basic experience with gel printing."

We learnt some of the history of scything, the benefits of scything as opposed to strimming for both well-being and nature, and a well rounded practical session with technique and tool set-up and maintenance. Danny and Helene were also very willing to talk about meadow cuts, frequency and timings for both conservation and hay collecting. I couldn't recommend this course more!"
