Liz reviewed: Glass fusing class - powders and enamels

"I have just been on the one day beginners glass fusing course. What a fantastic way to spend the day - learning new skills, chatting and eating homemade cake, what could be better. It's amazing what can be achieved in just one day. Sarah is welcoming and friendly, and hugely talented, I would love to go back to learn more. Thank you Sarah!"

Gary Berntsen reviewed: A fabulous introduction to fused glass - one day course

"What a fantastic day. This was my second course with Siobhan and yet again she was full of support and knowledge of her craft. It's a day where I simply switch off from the normal day to day stuff and get the chance to relax and express myself in my own way. The courses, facilities and the buffet lunch are all top notch and brilliant value for money. Then there is Siobhans wicked since of humour which completes a perfect day. Thank you for another great day and I will be back !!"

Liz Strong reviewed: Introduction to Glass Fusing with Enamels - Full Day Workshop

"This really was a great day!, Steve was welcoming from the start and encouraging without being prescriptive. He is passionate about his craft and his enthusiasm is infectious, his approach was relaxed and made everyone in the group feel valued. The group size was small enough to allow plenty of individual attention and everyone came out with surprisingly good results."

Danny Barbour reviewed: One inspiring day of mono printing from nature in artists studio near York

"A well run and informative day which was exactly what I was looking for. The small number of participants meant that there was plenty of time for hands-on experience as well as one-to-one tuition with Emily. The studio was well organised with individual work-stations for the participants. All in all a day well spent."

"Such a super day. Thank you Lena for sharing your knowledge and passion with us. I had a wonderful afternoon making a felted picture. Lena was so helpful and encouraging despite my ambitious ideas! In fact, Lena had to be extremely patient with several of us that day due to our idea So! I came away with a lovely item ready to embellish. The studio is perfect, so light and well equipped. I will certainly be back to join Lena on another workshop. Thank you again. Ann x"

Ali Millard reviewed: Capturing pretty Flat Lay photos - perfect for Instagram and Product Photography

"I did this course in May and I absolutely loved it. Lyndsey is such a patient teacher and no question was too stupid to ask. Lyndsey supplied lots of props, but we could also take our own too, which were shared amongst the group. Everyone who attended, created wonderful photos which I have since seen on their social media feeds and they look so professional. It really was a great day and I would highly recommend it to any creative person...in fact, I enjoyed it so much, I plan to do it again in the future!"

Ken M. reviewed: Bespoke Contemporary Fine Art Encaustic Wax Workshop.

"I took part in one of Lyn's encaustic art workshops more than 8 weeks ago and fell in love with using wax as an art medium. Lyn teaches in a patient and encouraging way and makes every session interesting and enjoyable. Encaustic art is a new technique for me. It is relatively simple yet every session has been different in an inspiring way. I highly recommend Lyn's workshops and shall be continuing to attend them, as well as carrying on my new found passion at home. Many Thanks to Lyn and to the Purbeck Workshop for hosting them."

Amy Gurski reviewed: Fabulous felt picture 2 day masterclass near York

"I had so much fun on this course and would highly recommend it to anyone! The location is gorgeous and serene, perfect for the activity. Camped nearby and made a weekend of it and the camping and pub were also great. I had a small amount of experience doing wet felting and felt pictures before but didn't fully appreciate until this course how much goes into creating this art. Calling it a Masterclass is definitely appropriate! Not only do you make your own beautiful piece over the weekend, but Bridget is so generous sharing her knowledge and techniques that I'm confident anyone - brand new or experienced - would learn a lot."

Geraldine Harris reviewed: Kate Morrell willow sculpture courses

"I had a brilliant day working with Kate making my willow donkey (Derek), the day was very relaxed and in a lovely setting. Kate is an incredibly talented artist , with a calm and supportive approach ,so I was able to understand the concept of proportion and depth ( not just a wonky donkey with stick legs!), it was probably a big expectation for a one day course on my part, but Kate talked me through the finishing touches and gave me the materials to carry on. A lovely lunch, tea, coffee and cakes were also provided throughout the day, thank you Dave. I would recommend anybody who's interested in willow weaving sculptures to enrol on the course and a big thank you to Kate for all your input and for being able to share the day with your wonderful animals."

Sam Howell reviewed: Beginners 10 week woodworking course NO LONGER RUNNING

"This course has provided me with the core skills necessary to take on new challenges and larger projects. Before the course my skill level and knowledge was fairly basic. A simple box was the extent of my capabilities. I now feel confident to tackle larger pieces of furniture. I have also been taught that only a few tools are necessary to complete a job, how not to waste wood and how to go about planning a project from start to finish in the right way and dealing with problems that may arise. This is an excellent all round course. Ciaran is extremely helpful and knowledgeable and has taught me a lot. Would recommend this to anyone. I hope to progress onto his intermediate course."

Jacqui Jennings reviewed: Fine Nuno Felted Scarf with 3D Embellishment Online Class

"I am a quilter and sewer, so I have to find another outlet to get me to relax, and this is it. Felting is a whole new entity to me, and something I do for myself, it's my "me" time. It is quietly creative, and full of surprises. Lena is an excellent teacher, and the classes are brilliant, she is very intuitive as well as skilled in her craft.....I just love the classes. I cannot recommend these felting classes more highly, and that's also as one who treats her own skills as professional also."

"Recently did Catherine's soap making workshop. It was really informative and Catherine went through everything that you do need to know and we had the opportunity to look at all the different types of ingredients and scents. Making the soap was great fun and certainly easier than you would think. Highly recommend the course and will certainly be looking at doing some of Catherine's other courses."

"Lena is a superb teacher of wet felting. Her classes are informal, relaxed and happy. Her knowledge of felting is outstanding and she is happy to share her skills with her pupils. John White reviewed: Tool Sharpening and Maintenance- 1 Day Course in South Devon

"A really interesting day. A small number of students and a relaxed atmosphere made the whole experience perfect. I only managed to sharpen 3 of my tools during the day, but the skills and knowledge I gained mean that I should be able to tackle all of my other tools. The tips on sharpening curved blades were particularly useful. I came away feeling confident I could put a good edge on things. Now I must practice!"

Tina reviewed: Stained Glass Nuno Felted Scarves Online Class

"Lena is a truly inspiriational and lovely person. I suffer from an auto immune disease and a severe destructive type of arthritis. I am in constant pain but I believe in not giving the pain power over me . I love crafting and creating and had only wet felted once before. Lena taught us in a clear and precise way giving each of us individual attention . Everything was easily at hand and there was such a variety and choice. At times my energy flagged and Lena knew I was tired. She took over for a while and I was able to rest and get a second wind. Her work is superb and I did not want to leave her beautiful studio."

Jeanette reviewed: Wood turning courses

"Thank you for a really great wood turning experience day. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed the day or how pleased I am with with my bowl, but I will try. I arrived feeling quite anxious about being able to produce anything at all, as I had no experience and had never been anywhere near a lathe. Your explanations, demonstrations, patience and guidance gave me confidence. Along with the excellent tuition it was a really enjoyable and fun experience, we had a great time with you and Sue, you both made us feel very welcome and comfortable. We were well looked after, Sue made us a lovely lunch which was much appreciated and we were kept going throughout the day with regular cups of perfect tea. On top of all of that I am now the very proud owner of a bowl that is of a much better quality and more beautiful than I ever thought I was capable of making. I will treasure it. Thank you very much George and Sue"

Zoe Thorn reviewed: Hand stitched leather laptop case

"I had a fabulous day making the leather laptop case with Rosanna in her workshop in Kent. Beautiful surroundings for a great and informative day. Rosanna is a great teacher; very patient and a very talented maker. I learnt a number of essential leather stitching techniques as well as many finishing techniques such as embossing and edging to make my final piece look stunning. I love my laptop case and I cannot wait to try out my newly learnt skills again. A highly recommended and fun day! She makes a mean quiche too ;-)"

Roger reviewed: Wood turning courses

"Just arrived home after a really good day wood turning with George and his lovely wife Susan. The amount of information that George gave us was spot on. It started with an outline of the health and safety to be complied with whilst in the workshop. There was an explanation of the make up of the wood we were going to use and the way it reacts on the lathe. It wasn't all instruction , it was also a really good laugh as George is a natural entertainer . But as a result we came away with two really nice fruit bowls. Susan was lovely and looked after the refreshments for the day. Very important as you really do have to concentrate on what your doing. All n all a brilliant day, and I would really recommend it. Thanks to Susan and George."

Avanthi Selvaratnam reviewed: Two day leather work course - bag making

"Dear Jason, Thank you very much for the extremely engaging and valuable course. We both looked for a new craft skill that we could reward ourselves for a birthday weekend and this fit the bill beautifully. As a teacher your guidance and knowledge really allowed us to plan a functional and personalised bag that was achievable in the 2 days. It was such an eye-opening and life changing experience in a beautiful setting. What a lovely way to spend a summers weekend!"
