"A thoroughly delightful day on the ‘Weave a scarf in a day’ workshop. Ann had considered everything so carefully, from the warm welcome, the facilities, wool selection and patient tutoring. A great experience and a lovely scarf as a reminder of the day. "

Vicky reviewed: Latex Puppet Making Workshop

"I had such a great time at this workshop. I have never used Latex before and was a bit apprehensive about its application in my crafts but found that it is a great medium to work with. Andy was amazing at walking the group through each segment of the puppet making process. I would highly recommend this workshop for both beginners and those with more experience. I learnt so much and came away with a lovely little puppet that I will cherish. Thank you. "

Giorgia reviewed: One day stained glass workshop London for beginners and enthusiasts

"What an experience and what a teacher! I would highly recommend Tejal and her amazing course. She is an incredible teacher with a passion for stained glass and with a mission to make art accessible for people that might be reticent to discover their more artistic side. My partner gifted me this course for Xmas as an introduction to stained glass. I have a highly stressful job and through Tejal's teaching discovered stained glass as a way to channel my creativity and relax. "

Gabrielle reviewed: Dressmaking Techniques

"This was such a valuable course, on all levels. Jen was extremely knowledgeable, and went out of her way giving us personalised, hands-on help. She was patient, answered all our questions, helped us figure out four very different sewing machines, and crammed loads of fabulous techniques and content into our time together. She is passionate about her craft and adept at sharing her skills in a way that is understandable and simple. I came away with a highly detailed, clear workbook of the techniques we'd covered, along with a set of fairly priced, specialised presser feet that I was able to test in class. Jen was keen on keeping us focused in a friendly way, and kept us well-fuelled with teas and delicious homemade lemon drizzle cake. I highly recommend her class, and we covered so much, that I may even come back for a refresher!"

Sew Forest of Dean responded:

"Hi Gabrielle, thank you so much for joining me in the studio and for your wonderful review, very much appreciated. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your day and got so much out of it. You did a great job of all the techniques and I hope you will soon be putting them into practice with your own projects. Thanks again, it was lovely to spend the day with you. Best wishes, Jennifer "

Clare Izquierdo reviewed: Basic blacksmithing course

"I booked this course for myself and my husband for his birthday and we both had such a great day! The instructors are patient and knowledgeable and clearly have years of experience. Everyone was really down to earth and encouraging. Found it a little difficult to find the place so was a little late starting but there were no issues with this and we got through making a knife each throughout the day. As someone who values experienced over things, I cannot recommend this highly enough. Great day out to experience something new with a memorable item to bring home with you! Just a bit of advice for anyone booking, make sure to dress warm if you are going in winter! It can get a little cold in the workshop when not stood directly next to the fire. All in all I'm completely happy with the day and would definitely come back in the future!"

"What a superb day I had. A course to enjoy for anyone, regardless of background, age or experience. Aaron is a fount of knowledge and experience, and very welcoming. You can't fail to have a good time casting yourself to the role of a blacksmith. I could easily get hooked on this as a hobby, just need to persuade the other half to let me buy a furnace, anvil, some tools, .......!! ;o)"

A and T Petersen Ltd responded:

"Thanks for your review Simon. Yes it's very addictive......you need a forge now 😁"

"Had an excellent kids session with Alan yesterday. Three kids aged 8, 11 and 12 years. They all thoroughly enjoyed it. Alan tought them various techniques, how to use the tools safely and how to sharpen and maintain the tools. We all learned a lot and Alan did a great job of reassuring two very anxious parents. "
