Tamsin Rosewell reviewed: One day needle felting workshop with Celestine and the Hare

"I did this one day workshop having no knowledge of needlefelting or working with wool. I joined it because I adore the little creatures made by Celestine and the Hare, so I decided to have a go. Oh my this is so much fun!! It is therapeutic and relaxing and I made the most delightful litttle hedgehog. Karin was a wonderful teacher (I think her background is in teaching), she told us how to achieve what we wanted and gave us ideas and lots of information - she wasn't a 'do this and do it like that' sort of teacher at all. It was great company, and a really fabulous day of learning a new craft. I took home an exquisite little animal that I adore."

Tamsin Rosewell reviewed: Two day needle felting a wired armature animal

"I absolutely loved this two day workshop! It was just wonderful in every way. Karin Celestine's teaching was fantastic and my bear is so much more beautiful than I thought I would ever achieve as a beginner. She really encouraged all of us to find our own way of expressing what we wanted. Her technical knowledge of different wools and techniques was superb and fascinating - I learned all sorts of things! I left having bought a little kit to have a go on my own, but I can't wait for another workshop!!"

Jonathan Phillips reviewed: Candle making workshops

"We had a fantastic day with Angharad. We hadn't been on any craft courses before so didn't know what to expect. She welcomed us to her home and made us feel really comfortable. The course itself was excellent, we learned lots about different types of wax and the different processes that go into making the candles. We came away with a bunch of really nice candles that we were proud to have made and also with the skills and knowledge to make our own at home. We would recommend this course to anyone, very very happy"

Michelle Jones reviewed: Beginners candle making workshop - London

"“My daughter and her friends had a lovely time making scented candles at her birthday party. Sarah introduced girls to a brief history of candle making. It was interesting and fun for the girls. I can recommend this workshop to every parent who is not quite sure how to organize their child's birthday. It was a very good choice. Emily and her girlfriends enjoyed it entirely and returned home with a selection of colourful and lovely scented candles made by themselves. Thank you very much Sarah for such a wonderful time the girls have had!"

"Thank you George for a very enjoyable day's wood turning tuition. The relaxed but very thorough way of teaching made learning easy, despite one of us being a complete novice, and we went home with two beautiful bowls and eager to continue the craft. You and Sue made us welcome throughout the day and lunch was delicious. Michael"

"Many thanks to Martin for a wonderful day teaching us the art of whittling, his patience and demonstrating the techniques with a knife were the key to our first effort results of 3 items. Laura Jones reviewed: Two day needle felting a wired armature animal

"This two-day course was my second try at needle-felting with Karin. The first time was a one-day course making a hedgehog, and I was sure I would go home with an unrecognisable blob, being all fingers and thumbs generally. But instead I had a wonderful day and took home a beautiful hedgehog made by me! This time I went ambitious and made a dragon! This is the confidence Karin gives you that you can do it, even if you're an absolute beginner and certain that you don't have a creative bone in your body. She's a wonderful teacher, a warm and humourous lady and I'm telling you, not only will you have a lovely day, you will also find yourself to be more creative than you thought."

Jenny Sharp reviewed: Two day needle felting a wired armature animal

"A friendly workshop with skilled tuition - with no experience at all in felting techniques I came away with a characterful, structured weasel of great charm! We had great fun, while acquiring new expertise - we were all encouraged to select an animal of choice, they were all different, and had plenty of support to achieve a representational figure with plenty of expression. Roll on the next course!"

Ian reviewed: Whittling course

"Had a fantastic day learning and producing some fun articles on Martin's course. My father and my two sons all thoroughly enjoyed it. It was very hard to fault any part of Martin's course, approach or friendliness. If you have an interest in this and want to learn the basics including correct techniques - so important to safely handling the very sharp knives involved - then I really can't recommend this course enough. We made a butter knife, fork and a fully working whistle over the day. The course included a nice lunch including getting in some gluten free options which was appreciated. Thanks Martin - a great day."

Rosie Tucker reviewed: Blacksmithing Experience Day

"I booked this day for my Son and Husband for their birthdays. They both had had the best time ,instruction was really good and the day was informal ,which suited them both ,but they learnt a lot and my husband said how he has so much more respect and understanding for the work that Colin produces. Both were really chuffed with the pieces that they produced and so was I."

Catherine harlow reviewed: 4-week online flower arranging class with Julie Davies Flower Workshops

"I started with no experience whatsoever just a love for flowers... I've ended the course with so much more confidence and idea on what I'm doing. I was a little nervous to begin with but everyone was so nice and Julie's feedback is so helpful and reassuring. You can do this course at your pace when you get a spare hour here and there or save everything for a Sunday afternoon. I can't recommend this course more! Thank you!!"

Wyn Khor reviewed: 2 days Mosaic Workshop for Beginners and Intermediate Levels with Nathalie Vin

"Nathalie's Introduction to Mosaic course was a great day out for my friend and I. We learned the basics of the art, including designing, cutting and arranging tiles to form a finished piece of mosaic. Nathalie's studio was a joy to work in and the small class size ensured we each received plenty of personal attention from the mosaic guru herself! Other reviewers have also mentioned the delicious lunch spread - I couldn't agree more. Highly recommended fun weekend activity!"
