Becca coombes reviewed: Mosaics for the home and garden

"I started as a complete novice on a Sunday course and it was excellent. Frances is very good at what she does - a fab mosaic artist, a great teacher and good company. I would recommend her mosaic courses to anyone at whatever level they are at. Her studio is a perfect place to get creative in the company of an interesting mix of people."

Jannike Taylor reviewed: Photography Days

"I can't speak highly enough of Sue and Richard and this wonderfully informative course. Having received my new digital camera I was too scared and clueless to even attempt to use it! However, following a perfectly constructed day I am now shooting away at a moments notice. A relaxed and friendly environment, clearly knowledgeable tutors who tailor the course around your individual needs and requests, and a wonderful studio and lakeside setting. Great fun and excellent value for money. Highly recommended!"

Caroline Marler reviewed: Mosaics for the home and garden

"I would 100% recommend Frances Taylor's mosaic classes. For a start the studio has a river view and that combined with the lovely coffee and biscuits sets the scene for a very enjoyable time. Whether you are a beginner with no idea what to make or someone who has a definite idea, Frances will help you with just the right amount of input - she is very artistic but also very good technically so has an answer for every query. Last but not at all least the sessions are great fun and very relaxing - if you are stressed or fed up , you will feel wonderful by the end - it's the best sort of therapy!"

Alison Parker reviewed: Mosaics for the home and garden

"I had always wanted to try mosaicing and was delighted when I found this opportunity locally. It doesn't matter whether you think you are creative or not. It's possible to make something simple in a short time and progress on to any number of projects. It's very addictive and hugely rewarding. Frances is delightful, friendly and very helpful, always on hand to guide and help. The classes are friendly, relaxed and fun. Give it a go and I promise you won't regret it."

Hilary Kenworthy reviewed: Beginners 10 week woodworking course NO LONGER RUNNING

"Excellent course which is recommended without hesitation. Ciaran is an excellent teacher and makes a decent cup of coffee too. The course project, a display stand, was proficiently accomplished by everyone on the course, even if it took some (i.e. me) a little longer than others to finish. Despite not ever having had any woodwork lessons before, I never felt out of my depth. The expert tuition with constant good humour and good company ensured the course was thoroughly enjoyable."

Tony reviewed: Wood turning tuition, New Forest, Hampshire (1 day, 1 person)

"My 11 year old son and i had a brilliant time at Graham's workshop. Graham keeps his teaching nice and simple and has a good balance between showing you how to do it and letting you do it yourself. We were both amazed how well we did and what we made. Would recommend a visit to Grahams workshop to anyone. Ps...good quality tea and biscuits too!!! (thanks Chris)"

Simon Bolt reviewed: Wood turning courses in the Midlands

"A brilliant course, tailored to my needs. Mark is an excellent and paitient teacher who makes it all look so easy, and then makes you realise that with practice it actually is! Very clear and usefull course notes that i am sure are going to prove to be invaluable as it is so hard to take it all in. Marks knowledge is tremendous and i know we will be sharing another day together soon when the new lathe arrives. I am a joiner by trade and had a limited self taught knowledge of turning, i should have done this years ago as we achieved so much in a day I have spent many hours watching you tube videos! its much easier and safer to learn from someone who really know what they are talking about. Thank you Mark."

Jo Yates reviewed: Beginners Hand spinning - 'From fleece to fibre’ - at All in a Spin

"A very enjoyable and informative day! Dunja fitted me in at short notice and managed to cover so much , a satisfying way to spend a damp January day. Dunja was very patient and I learnt so much through "having a go" linked with an understanding of the properties of individual fleeces. The terminology handout helped me to remember the processes once I returned home. I am now inspired to take this experience further and buy my own spinning wheel - a new hobby for a new year! Thank you very much and I look forward to visiting your lovely farmhouse for an improvers course."

Jo G reviewed: 5 Day Car Upholstery Course

"I did a 4 day course split over 2 blocks of 2 days and it was excellent! The ladies that ran the course were lovely. Very friendly and welcoming and immediately put me at my ease. They explained everything brilliantly, and the course was very hands on so I got to practice all the things I was learning along the way. It was also flexible so if I had specific questions or examples I wanted to look at ie a particularly tricky headrest, the girls were very accommodating. I can't recommend this course enough - I got way more than I expected out of it and they have given me enough confidence to take on more auto upholstery challenges. I'm now considering going back for an advanced course in the next few months."

Rhona Harrington reviewed: Felt a landscape

"Had a great day full of fun and inspiration. Learnt so much and it left me inspired to do more Felting. As Sarah honestly tells you right at the beginning of the day, Felting is Addictive so join at your peril!! I was pleasantly surprised to end the day walking out with two completed pieces of work and having learnt the basics feel confident to experiment at home. Looking forward to the next day Course and hope to seeing some of the lovely people I met yesterday at Carmel."

jane Evans reviewed: Felt a landscape

"Great! Such a tonic on a dismal January day. So much colour and so much fun. I hadn't expected to come away with so many fantastic samplers of my own work. It was such a relaxing day - a total switch off from work and massaging the felt is so therapeutic. Thoroughly recommended and I can't wait for the next course. Well done, Sarah!"

Vicky Hutchinson reviewed: Silk painting workshops

"I booked this course for a Xmas present for my mother in law & aunt. We had a really great day learning a lot about painting on silk. Bridget was really attentive & taught in an easy way to understand. She was really good at helping you lose your inhibitions & just experiment with design & colour. We will definitely go back. Great coffee, homemade soup & cake. We were made to feel really welcome & comfortable."

Leigh Ayland reviewed: Blacksmithing Experience Day

"A good day out for the whole family (ie me, wife, two teenage boys of 13 and 17). We went straight into actually making stuff - no tedious health and safety obsessing! Pretty physical, but you really don't need huge biceps - it's all in the technique, demonstrated with deceptive ease by Col. There is the added advantage of being located right behind the farm shop in the village - superb locally produced food, both for lunch and to take home for tea!"

Jennie Horton reviewed: Full day introduction to glass fusing course.

"A wonderful start to 2016, being creative and attending a day course in Amanda workshop. We created some beautiful things, and learnt much about her particular style of glass creating. It was like being in Aladdin's cave, with so many beautiful materials to choose from to make something very individual. As well as being helpful and supportive, Amanda also makes it fun and very convivial. And the lunch....... wow. Thanks for a great day."

Mike reviewed: Creative Vibe - Glassblowing Sessions

"Spent the day on this excellent course. Ricky is an excellent teacher, explaining all the techniques carefully and constantly providing tips to make sure that the art work was achieved to a high standard. He was very patience with an old person (me) a took time to adjust the techniques that enabled me to produce good work. I can whole heartedly recommend this course. A wonderful day full of interest and skill."

Doug Human reviewed: Wood turning courses

"Turned up with great trepidation, put fully at ease and was led gently into a great day. As an MS sufferer, my hands shake quite considerably, and at one time I felt that I would not be able to continue the days course, but, George, very adaptable showed me various methods to overcome this difficulty, at the end of the day, a brilliant result with my bowel that I had made to prove it. It was not just a woodturning course, it was also a day of "understanding wood" Georges lovely wife, was a great hostess, tea/coffee and a nice lunch. thank you for a wonderful experience Doug Human"

"What an amazing day. Diane and her brother were brilliant, so knowledgeable and patient. The location at Blaze Farm is superb and with lunch and refreshments included, the value of this course is wonderful. I came away with three skeins of self spun wool and felt very proud of myself.
