Lewis Davies-Smith reviewed: Knife making weekend Gloucestershire

"An incredibly satisfying and enjoyable weekend of knife making! Walked away with a tool that I was extremely proud of and which I have already used on numerous occasions since. Arian hits the nail on the head with his teaching style, guiding you through what is actually a huge number of different skills and disciplines at the pace needed to get finished in time, but without ever feeling like you’re rushed or that you don’t have enough time to make a thought out decisions about the knife you’re making. The workshop has everything you could possibly want, with a welcoming, relaxed and friendly atmosphere too! Will definitely recommend it to family and friends and hope to be back visiting the Nailsworth workshop for another project or course soon. Thank you, Arian and co!"

Imogen Blake reviewed: Perfume Making in Norfolk

"I booked this course for my mum's 60th birthday, and we had the best time thanks to Diane. Diane was so warm and welcoming, and we felt immediately at home. She was patient with us when we had no clue what we were doing - but soon learned lots about the basics of perfume making. I had expected to make a pretty dodgy perfume, but I love what I made and now use it every day! Highly recommend it if you're looking for a new activity to try."

Aroma Natural responded:

"Hi Imogen Thank you for taking the time to write this review for me and thank you for the lovely, kind words. It was a pleasure to have you and your mum here making perfume and how wonderful your perfumes were - pleased you are wearing them. Again, thank you its very much appreciated."

Steve Summers reviewed: Woodcarving for beginners - two day course in Suffolk

"Gerry gives confidence, even for absolute beginners in wood carving, by offering step by step expert demonstrations and calm supportive one to one mentoring. He and his wife Barbara opened their house for lunch and we were treated to delicious homemade soup and sandwiches. He negotiated with all participants to take a Covid lateral flow test at the start of the first day. I feel inspired to continue wood carving."

Gerald Adams Woodcarvers Ltd responded:

"Thanks Steve Glad you enjoyed it."

Matthew Lee reviewed: Beginner woodwork - 1 to 1

"I had a BRILLIANT afternoon with Philip in his workshop. I really felt as though Philip tailored the time to my particular learning goals and experience (of which I went in with literally zip). I've come away feeling both more confident practically (my original aim) and creatively inspired. A week later and I'm still buzzing (like a fret saw) about woodworking!"

Quicksticks Workshop responded:

"Thanks for the kind review Matthew. I'm glad you enjoyed the session and now feel inspired. It was great meeting you and I hope to welcome you back in the future for another project with lots of laughs as before. Cheers"

Jan V reviewed: Paper Making - Hand Made Recycled Paper

"This was a fun and rewarding course, with nigh-on instant gratification! Wendy made it easy to produce lovely pieces of paper from all the unwanted stuff that comes through our letterboxes, plus a variety of pretty embellishments. Outstanding value, easy to replicate at home with the frame provided, and good coffee too!"

Edna reviewed: Make a silver ring or bangle

"Today I had two projects in mind. The continuation of my earrings that from a simple design, to begin with, have presented challenges which with Lucy’s guidance have developed and been overcome. My new challenge is making something out of titanium discs. As usual, Lucy guided my imagination into what is realistic and possible."

Erica reviewed: Art and craft of labyrinth

"I really enjoyed your 5 day Labyrinth course. Although accurate drawing isn't really my thing I was completely absorbed in the process of drawing fantastic labyrinths, each with it's own story. Your deep reverence for all the cosmic significance of the numbers and proportions that we all got lost in together really moved me. I was truly inspired by a sense of profound order surrounding us. The coffee and buns were fab too. Oh, and so many great conversations! Every night since the course I've been dreaming of circles and I feel very much at peace."

Danielle Spencer reviewed: Make a beautiful Christmas Wreath with Stockton Brook Studios

"Great class. We all had fun. Met some nice people. Learnt a new skill. Hazel bending is fun! Might want to rethink the music choices (nobody knew what the music was) or put the radio on for generic class happiness ??"

Stockton Brook Studios responded:

"Thanks for the feedback … sorry about the choral music! It should have been more Christmassy ?"

Tania reviewed: Blacksmithing Introduction courses in Yorkshire and the North East

"What a great day out. Very well-thought-out course. Very chuffed with the 2 items I made that I will use at home, better than I thought they'd be. Techniques well taught, very friendly, food fantastic, great atmosphere, what more can I say. The only criticism I can make is that my son complained I hadn't made a sword....."

"I had a lovely afternoon at this workshop, and learnt loads from Ruth, who was very patient and encouraging and good fun too! The whole process is really interesting and absorbing, and I would recommend to anyone to have a go. I love what I made, and I'm keen to carry on and learn more and see what else I could create."

Patricia Eyre reviewed: Craft Workshop: Learn to make silver art clay jewellery in a day (beginner)

"What a fantastic workshop and tutor! I came into the workshop as a complete beginner and left with a huge sense of accomplishment and a gorgeous keepsake. Sally provided clear explanations of each part of the process along with clear warning of how things could go wrong if not followed (nothing did!) I am so pleased I chose to attend Sally's face to face workshop rather than struggling on my own with books or YouTube videos! I can't wait to start another piece?"
