Becca reviewed: One day stained glass workshop London for beginners and enthusiasts

"Really great craft to do. You can learn the basics pretty quickly and get great results in very little time! Went with a group of 8 people. Tejal was a very good teacher, very positive and helpful. We did struggle with time having too much time the first day and too little time the second. I think that if this was a one day course we would have been able to get the activities done in a time suitable for us. As there were only 2 pieces of equipment on day 2, there was a lot of waiting around. I did nothing for over an hour and then had to rush to finish. Having said that, we all really enjoyed the craft and all came away with beautiful pieces that are now hanging up in our window!"

GlassSeasons responded:

"Thanks you for your feedback. I appreciate limited equipment was one of the concerns and will be speaking to the venue manager to see if they can permit more equipment for a larger group, it was lovely meeting and teaching you all and I was pleasantly surprised with everyone's skills. I am glad you all completed your pieces beautifully and learnt a new skill! Take care :)"

"What a tremendous experience! I am a complete novice when it comes to working with mixed media but fortunately I didn’t let this deter me. As a result, I left the course with a fabulous piece of art work and have already booked a second workshop! Karen’s expertise and passion for her work is reflected in her calm, encouraging teaching style. The venue is comfortable and we were totally looked after by Karen and ‘her team’ throughout the day. The coffee and delicious homemade cakes were a particularly nice extra touch."

OWENA WYN-JONES reviewed: Nature-inspired lino printing

"Had a lovely morning with Naomi at her workshop in Bristol. Been wanting to learn lino cutting for so long and was so pleased when I got vouchers to use, and found this course. Naomi was great, made us all feel at ease and allowed us get creative in our ways. I was a bit nervous going as I can't draw for toffee, but that wasn't a problem. There was lovely homemade cake and tea and coffee on tap . Really enjoyable, informative and relaxing. Will be back to do more courses I'm sure ?"

These Two Hands responded:

"Thank you so much for such a lovely review Owena! It was so good to meet you and your starfish print was so good! I will let you know about other courses that are coming up and hope to see you again. Naomi x"

Claire Cordell reviewed: Natural facial skincare for spring

"Wow! What an amazing course, run by a really knowledgable lady who has worked in the industry and really understands the background of how skin care products are made. My daughter and I and a small group of women have spent a hugely enjoyable afternoon making natural body lotion/ face creams, balms and shampoo body wash...and the homemade cake was amazing! Highly recommended!"

Hand Made by Juliette responded:

"Thanks so much for your generous review Claire. It was a real pleasure to teach you, your daughter and the other delightful women who came to do the course yesterday. I particularly love the fact that there were 2 family groups, as well as yours we had a second one which was 3 generations of lovely women, all wanting to get creative and make their own cosmetics. Natural skincare appeals to everyone it seems irrespective of age!"

Colin Feesey reviewed: Alien spoon carving

"This was a fantastic day, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Alan has a personable approach, and takes care to teach you skills and safety in the use of axes and knives for wood carving. We were then supported as a small group to carve our own spoons starting with a log. He really knows what he is doing and offers encouragement and guidance every step of the way. The lunch provided was delicious, and we had scones in the morning and cake in the afternoon, all homemade."

"This was my second course with Melanie and I absolutely loved it. I've never seen myself as creative, but she explains everything brilliantly and has given me the confidence to try things. Mary toft reviewed: One day stained glass workshop London for beginners and enthusiasts

"The family running the course couldn’t have been nicer. There were 8 of us and the course didn’t really work for that number. We should have had 2 days of 3 hours but the first day was 2 hrs and the second day 4. There was a lot of time when we weren’t doing anything as there wasn’t enough equipment. Having said that we all came away happy with our makes and having learnt a new craft."

GlassSeasons responded:

"Thanks you for your feedback, the downtime was to allow members of the group to interact with one another as it was a family event, and additional time was added as a buffer to ensure everyone's ability was accommodated. The venue has a restriction on how much equipment is allowed and I will be speaking to the venue manager about this. I appreciate your constructive feedback with transparent comments and will take this on board for future large group events. We look forward to continuing enhancing the course. Regards, Tejal"

Kelly Campbell-Staines reviewed: Introduction to candle-making as a business

"Booked this course with absolutely no idea about candle making. Found the venue easily and met two other women who were also taking the course. Jo, the wonderful lady teaching the course made me feel really relaxed and at home. The course was fun and really informative, I couldn’t believe the amount of knowledge I came away with. Most importantly I had so much confidence to get home and start planning my candle making business, I also came home with a huge goody bag of candles and melts I had made with the fragrances I chose. If you are only thinking about booking this course, don’t hesitate, there are very few candlemaking courses around that teach this amount of info and Jo is so lovely!! Book today as she gets booked up quickly. I may have to book again with a friend as it was so much fun."

T Brightwell reviewed: Soap making course (beginner) - in the heart of the Ashdown Forest, Sussex

"The soap course itself was run well - a good teacher (although we felt it was a long day for him as he had taught the earlier candle making course that day). It was interesting learning about how soap is made. However, on now having used the soaps - and distributed to friends and family the quality of the actual soap product is not at all good. Its a very low grade 'wash foam' soap. Very slippery in use !!!! but no foam to feel like you have actually washed ! I feel the cost does not justify the products made (:"

Janice Bell reviewed: Half day Christmas themed cold process soap making workshop with Keri at The Soap Coach

"Keri is a natural teacher, passionate about all things soap! The cold method of soap making, was an informative and hands on, fun workshop. Three hours, which passed all too quickly, of the joy of making a luxurious product for people or dogs/horses! Wonderful scent of pure aromatherapy oils added to the pleasure of creating two ‘loaves’ of soap. The studio is roomy and bright with everything needed close to hand. A marvellously relaxing morning, enhanced by tea/coffee and cake! Now I just need to book for the hot soap making method! A very affordable price for a 5 star experience. Totally recommend..... thank you Keri"

The Soap Coach Limited responded:

"Thank you so much Janice, so pleased you enjoyed it and I would love to see you back again soon for the hot process soap making :)"
