Lisa reviewed: Virtual Creative Gift Wrapping Workshop via Zoom

"I enjoyed the course and the atmosphere of the lesson. It was a friendly and open environment which made it easy to ask questions and learn from others too. The tutor was welcoming and moved the lesson along without leaving anyone behind. She is very creative, and is supportive of everyone achieving their best. The venue is convenient with ample parking. I would recommend this course to anyone whether a beginner or not to attend, you will surely learn something new and how a simple gift can be made beautiful."

Zoliab Craft & Gift Wrapping Academy responded:

"Thank you Lisa for your encouraging feedback. I hope you have been practising various techniques of creative giftwrapping. With more practice and a few more creative classes, you will excel?"

Gary W reviewed: Stained glass leading for beginners

"I was given a day at one of Jamal's leading workshops as a birthday gift and had a really wonderful time. Jamal's own skill as an artist and craftsman is absolutely first rate and some of the high-end commissions he has fulfilled are breathtaking. It is to his credit that he manages to simplify the essentials into a single day in which we learned enough about glass cutting and leading to walk away with our own finished piece. I'm now seriously tempted to follow up with one of his glass painting workshops one of these days. Most highly recommended!"

Lydia Dayes reviewed: Create a ceramic animal sculpture with Twisted Earth Ceramics at Ilkley Manor Studio

"Richard was a perfect host. He talked our group though how to make our donkeys with patience and in a way that gave us confidence and a donkey not too far off his! Amazing! We had a right laugh doing this as an alternative birthday present. I'd highly recommend it!"

Rosie reviewed: One-to-One Private workshop

"What a creative day. I attended with my sister and we'd waited with anticipation for ages as Gigha's workshops are so popular. She was so patient, knowledgeable and relaxed. We both started off with quite a little apprehension and were thrilled when we got the hang of glass cutting. The choice of glass and other bits and bobs was simply tremendous. A crafters paradise! We were in heaven. There was all manner of teas and coffees available all day and a delicious lunch with cakes to follow. I can't wait to book again."

Jo Clayton reviewed: Hazel wall basket workshop in Grizedale Forest

"I loved making my Hazel basket with Lorna Singleton. To make such a gorgeous object out of a few small sticks of wood is amazing. Lorna is clearly very skilled and is good at passing her knowledge on. Peeling the weaving strips from the Hazel rod is tricky but satisfying. It was great fun & really rewarding to be out in the woods for a couple of days and then to go home with a beautiful basket that I had made myself. My basket is now mounted on my wall and I keep my woolly hats in it!"

HANNAH IDOWU reviewed: Virtual Creative Gift Wrapping Workshop via Zoom

"I was skeptical on registering on this short course as I was unsure if my expectations would be met :) I arrived at the venue and was glad I didn't have to worry about parking. I met with the tutor, she was so, so welcoming and made me feel at ease straightaway. The tutor introduced herself and her craft journey and asked everyone to interact with each other in other words breaking the ice :) The room was perfect and the lessons began. Joko took her time to explain and show us how to wrap a bottle and any awkward shaped items. She was very patient with each learner and kept encouraging us to unleash the creativity in us. She also showed us how to do a hamper basket and gave us several crafting tips and where to get resources. It was such a fun time in the class, we didn't realise time had gone so quick :) I had a glorious time and I am so glad I went on this course. Joko has given me so much courage to push for excellence and I am right now got my arrow shooting for the top. Thank you Mrs Omole for sharing your gifts with us."

Zoliab Craft & Gift Wrapping Academy responded:

"Dear Hannah, I am glad that you had a glorious time at the workshop. It was great meeting you. Thanks for the feedback"

Stuart Smith reviewed: Two day wood carving course at Chillington Hall

"I Really enjoyed wood carving and would definitely recommend. There was a great atmosphere with lots of other people on the course beavering away on their own projects. The only practical work I have ever done is DIY around the house so wood carving was a big step up. The instructions were easy to follow and my relief was much better than I thought possible. I left with a great sense of accomplishment and wanting to do more!!"

Peter venton reviewed: Wet Felt a beautiful neck warmer for Spring- in fine Merino wools and silks

"What a delightful way to spend a Sunday morning! With clear and careful guidance Judi showed us how to lay out the first two base layers of our scarf and then to add a third design layer of silk scraps, bamboo silks and silk mawatas in contrasting colours. The colours were amazing and we were encouraged to try out our own ideas. We'd definitely like to do this as again and my wife who has reduced mobility is now wearing her very own nuno felted scarf. Judi is an inspirational teacher and nothing is too much trouble for her. Highly recommend this workshop."

Felting in Devon responded:

"Dear Peter, I'm so glad you both enjoyed the workshop. It was lovely to meet you. Judi"
