Join Lorraine for a morning and/or afternoon, outdoor craft workshop and learn to weave with Willow to create an art piece, a Sculpture you can be proud of! Our woodland art space is nestled within the woodland beyond the lake on the Birtley Estate in Bramley, a beautiful Surrey Hills location, so picturesque with its lakes and gardens and woodland walks and not surprisingly it is classified as an "AONB" an area of outstanding natural beauty! The Workshop In this our half-day morning workshop, you will be able to make one large craft > Large Dragonfly (morning) > Willow Sphere (morning) We also have an afternoon workshop, in this workshop, you will be able to make: > Large Flower (afternoon) > Willow Sphere (afternoon) In our full-day workshop, you will be able to choose from one of the following options: > Large Butterfly (all day) > Large Dragonfly (morning) and Large Flower (afternoon) > Willow Sphere (all day) You can bring your own packed lunch if you are planning on staying with us for the day and you can also explore the grounds at the Birtley Estate. Suitability The workshop is suitable for Adults and Teenagers only. You will be able to work independently or in pairs.

Hedges & Hurdles is a family-owned business run by Lorraine and Paul Matthews. Paul is a national award-winning Hedgelayer delivering Hedgelaying and Hurdle Making training courses during the autumn and winter months. Lorraine is experienced in delivering various types of courses for both individuals and groups including Wood Craft & Willow Craft Workshops. Workshops and training courses are run from a selection of picturesque locations across the Surrey Hills and Sussex. These experiences are suitable for private group bookings too with a choice of catering options available.
