Description

Join willow sculptor Jacqueline Rolls for the weekend to create a large willow deer sculpture of your choice. What to Expect: Day 1 - The hands-on workshop will commence with an introduction to the materials and tools, and you'll delve into the world of willow by selecting your very own bundle of pliable willow withies. Under Jacqueline's expert guidance, you'll begin the process of shaping and weaving these willow branches into the graceful form of a deer. This day is all about building the foundation of your sculpture and getting a feel for the medium., By the end of the day, you will have completed the general shape ready for us to move on to adding the detail. Day 2 - We will pick up where we left off, adding the details you would expect to see, including ears, tail antlers, etc, You'll continue refining your sculpture, adding intricate details and personal touches to make it uniquely yours. Throughout the workshop, Jacqueline will provide personalized guidance, tips, and techniques to help you achieve the best results and bring out your creativity. Other considerations If you are new to creating willow sculptures I would recommend that you start with a medium-sized deer; if you have attended several willow animal sculpture workshops before you should be able to make a larger deer if you want to, Please be aware that we all work at different speeds, if you work quite slowly you may need to complete your sculpture at home. I will aim for us to finish around 5 each day however, if you wish to work a bit later on the first day, you are welcome to, as I have booked the hall for our use. This workshop needs to be booked 2 weeks in advance to allow me to prepare after this time. Please get in touch with me before booking a place so that I can confirm that I have time to accommodate you.
