Textured Cushion Cover using various felting techniques
Contact course provider
About the Course
Experiment with a variety of fabrics and felting techniques including nuno, applied Shibori manipulation and resists to create a wonderfully textured felted fabric piece to make into a cushion cover.
During the day you will be guided on how to build up the surface textures and work them together to form one piece of felt fabric. Alongside this you will learn how to make the backing fabric and gain an understanding of how to make an envelop cushion to complete at home. One or more of the techniques can be used to build the highly textured surface with high and low relief areas. A variety of fabrics will be available but please bring along any you may have from your fabric stash you would like to experiment with. This is an excellent course for those who have attended either the Resist Felting or Shibori Sampling Workshop to apply your knowledge to create a finished item, but all are welcome.
Please get in touch for more information or to book your place please visit my website.
