This course is for the beginner with no previous experience of quilting or patchwork.
The course runs several times per year so please get in touch for dates.
Experience of using a sewing machine preferred but not essential. Come and learn the traditional crafts of patchwork and quilting.
Our courses are bespoke, with a maximum of 5 – 6 people per session, ensuring you can work at your own pace in a relaxed atmosphere with an experienced quilter on hand to teach you. You will learn how to prepare your fabrics, handle the ‘tools of the quilter’s trade’, make the patches and patterns with the various fabrics using the sewing machines provided and complete your own small quilt to take home and keep.
Students will be expected to do a few hours homework per week to help complete the quilts.
What's included in the price?
All tools and materials and fabrics required to complete the small quilt are included, as well as refreshments. For home work it is advisable you have a quilting ruler and a rotary cutter.
