Join Rosie for a joyful, Christmas-themed calligraphy course designed especially for those who already know the basics and want to take their skills a step further. Across three inspiring online sessions, you’ll explore creative and achievable ways to bring your calligraphy into festive card designs. You’ll be guided through a range of fresh techniques and concepts, with plenty of inspiration for making your lettering shine. From playful compositions and decorative flourishes to clever ways of incorporating festive motifs, this course is all about elevating your calligraphy and making something truly special. Expect lots of tips, time to experiment, and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere where you can build your confidence and enjoy the creative process. Whether you’re making cards for loved ones or looking to develop your portfolio, this is a wonderful way to get into the Christmas spirit with ink in hand.

- 3 live online sessions with Rosie. - Demonstrations, warm-up exercises, and time to create your own designs. Techniques including: - Double flourishes. - Mixing seasonal colour palettes. - Using stencils for pattern and texture. - Bold brush pen lettering and delicate pointed nib styles. - Incorporating illustration into your designs. - Adding ribbons and beads to create gift tags and elevate envelopes. - Design inspiration for the backs of cards, including adding your own name or brand. By the end of the course, you’ll have created: - 2 Christmas postcard designs. - Christmas tags. - Beaded envelopes. - A folded card design. - Plus, plenty of ideas to take forward into your own festive projects. - Resources and inspiration sheets. - Access to recordings if you can’t make a session live. What you will need

Please have the following items ready for the course. These are simple, inexpensive tools to help you get the most from each session: - Yogurt pot lid (for colour application and stencil work). - Soft pencil, rubber, and ruler. - Kitchen roll. - Inexpensive or scrap paper for practising colour techniques. - Scissors. - Craft knife and cutting surface. - Spray water bottle. - Washi tape. Optional extras: - Light pad. - Paper trimmer.
