About the Course
A fun, creative and informative workshop where you will be introduced to lovely natural and where possible organic ingredients. You will learn about essential oils, carrier oils, butters, waxes and other ingredients.
You can enjoy choosing the ingredients that are most appropriate for you to make your own products. Types of products made could include a lip balm, facial serum, clay mask, lotion bar, bath truffles or body scrub.
You will go home with a minimum of 2/3 items dependent on time and preference.
Making your own natural skincare is not only cheaper than high street branded products but you also have the assurance that you know what goes into them.
Lots of visual information provided along with hands on practical activities. All participants get an information pack to go home with.
This is a great taster for anyone interested in natural skincare and a fun and enjoyable way to spend a few hours getting away from things.
The workshops are held in a peaceful, tranquil location on the outskirts of Battle, East Sussex, an historic town best known for the Battle of Hastings and 1066. As part of `Touch of Beauty`, a delightful independent beauty salon, we feel these workshops are a great way to spend a relaxing and pleasurable time that you will go home from with not only your goodies but also a sense of achievement.
The workshops are hosted by Sue, a licensed teacher with `The School of Natural Skincare`. Sue has been a part of `Touch of Beauty from it`s launch 3 years ago, supporting Hannah who is the owner and wonderful therapist there. Sue has a certificate in Natural Skincare Product Making and is also studying the Diploma in Natural Skincare Formulation with The School of Natural Skincare. She is also qualified in Swedish Massage and holds an Anatomy and Physiology qualification.
"I want people to go home from the workshops with a smile on their faces and their own bag of goodies plus the information to do more if they wish to. I like to teach in a way that enables people to have fun while they are learning. No stuffy classroom here!"
Duration is normally 3.5 hours and days and times will be by arrangement with Touch of Beauty.

This was a brilliant course, booked by a friend. The whole time with with Sue was very informative and relaxed, we learnt a great deal about making home skincare, which I will try to do at home and came away with a goody bag, filled with the lovely things we’d made. Will definitely be booking to go back for the facial skincare course. Lovely to have meet you Sue.

Response from Touch of Beauty:Hi Christabel,
This was an absolutely superb course that was way beyond expectations!
Great value for money!
Sue was wonderful, very accommodating, relaxed, warming and made me feel at ease and welcome as I took my 5 month old baby with me.
Sues knowledge and teaching styles made the morning informative but also so much fun, with lots of hands on activities.
It really was the best morning and I wished I’d booked for the full day, but I fully intend going back!
It is an ideal gift, mother’s day, birthday, girls get together etc.
I had the best time and then got to come home and enjoy the products I’d made from scratch!
This is an absolute must do course!!!

Response from Touch of Beauty:Thank you Debbie for your lovely comments. It was great to meet you both and I hope Kim enjoyed her birthday treat. Its a pleasure sharing with you all the natural ingredients and seeing all the products you make to take home with you.
I done this brilliant course with my sister and we had a great time. We felt very welcome and at ease. The Granary that the course was in was beautiful and Sue had laid out all the equipment and materials it just looks so professional and girly. I went to learn how to make my very own skincare products and I left with a lovely personal set of skincare and knowledge. I feel inspired and confident to make my own at home. Sue was informative and explained the benefits certain essential oil as well as answering all our questions. We drove an hour from Brighton although there were similar course in Brighton I would recommend this course for it beautiful presentation and cost. It was a great day for me and my sister to share and to do something different that’s fun. We will come back for more. Thanks Sue you were great.
