Natural dyeing workshop - 'Local Colour' - Hurstpierpoint, West Sussex
Description
This workshop is for people who are interested in exploring using plants to naturally dye wool - it is aimed at those starting out. It is held in the beautiful village of Hurstpierpoint, at the foot of the South Downs. By the end of the day you will have learnt to dye skeins of wool using various easy to source plants and extracts, using readily available equipment. There will also be suggestions about how to start a dye garden of your own. You will take home the wool you have dyed and the skills and knowledge to continue exploring this fascinating hobby at home. Tea/coffee/cake is included. Please bring your own lunch. For the workshop to run successfully, we need at least 4 participants. Therefore, should there be less than 3 people, we will need to contact you and cancel. You will receive a full refund or of course, you could rebook. A decision will be made 3 weeks before the workshop to minimise disruption to any plans you may have made.
