Join dye expert Jenny Mercer for an inspiring day delving into the art of natural dyeing using plants found all around us. This hands-on workshop takes you through the entire process, from exploring preferred seeds and plants, to extraction and dyeing, as well exploring some of the fascinating history of natural dyeing traditions along the way. Our Spring Natural Dye course will focus on dyeing silk, and will include dyeing silk ribbon samples, inspired by the latest wedding trend, as well as a silk cushion cover. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a beautiful cushion cover that you have dyed yourself using one of the colours extracted on the day, and a deeper appreciation for this ancient art.
