Burnt Fen Alpacas Natural Dyes Workshop
Description
This is a one day course held at our alpaca farm in Norfolk and is designed to give you a hands-on introduction to the amazing world of colour that natural dyes can offer. Working with a combination of foraged seasonal plants and dried dye material, you will prepare and mordant our alpaca yarn and make 3 different dye baths. You will also have the opportunity to over-dye your skeins using my Indigo vat to create even more colours. We will be working outside next to the alpaca fields and the alpacas will no doubt mosey over to say hello on the hunt for carrots!
What's included in the price?
All materials and equipment are provided and I will give handouts of the recipes you have used during the day. A delicious homemade seasonal soup is included in your day and tea and coffee are available all day in my studio, 'Kurt the Yurt'.
