Description

Learning how to make your own natural and chemical free skin care is a lot easier than you think. Homemade skincare is kinder to your skin and our planet and by using foraged or bought herbs and plants we can also connect with all nature can offer us. In this one day workshop we will make a selection of natural, nourishing and healing skin care for you to take home to treat yourself or a gift for someone special. On this course you will: Make a nighttime facial oil (for dry, combination or sensitive skin), a lip balm, a skin balm (for cuts, burns, stings, rashes etc) and a herbal oil infusion Learn the benefits of homemade skincare and some flowers, herbs and plants used for skin Learn how to make an oil infusion using forage flowers and plants from the garden Enjoy some loose leaf herbal teas (foraged) Learn skills for making own skin care at home for yourself and family Tutor: Elise Yarde Elise is an organic food and herb grower and runs her own organic skin care and wellness business. This grew from her love and fascination with the medicine, plants, herbs and food for our healing and wellbeing that grows from the soil all around us. Also her personal experience of very sensitive skin and needing to find something healing, chemical free and affordable led her to learn to make her own products and start her business, train in herbalism and run workshops. What to bring: A medium/large size jar for your oil infusion (clean and dry) An apron should you wish Your lunch and snacks. Hot drinks will be provided. If you are vegan and would prefer to not use beeswax please let us know so we can supply an alternative. All proceeds from our events and holidays are ploughed directly back into managing our 40 acre nature reserve. Thank you for your support and please do come to visit soon.
