About the Course
Learn to sew in a small group with the support of a professional tutor. Suitable for total beginners, or if you're wanting to refresh and update your sewing skills.
You’ll start with the basics, learning to thread up your machine and sew seams. Then improve your skills & make a useful item to take home each week:

What's included in the price?
Tuition fee included, plus downloadable handouts for the sewing project each week to help you make another item at home. Also available in the sewing studio: tutor made item samples and instructions, books and resources for reference, fabric scraps to practice on, iron and ironing board, cutting rulers and set squares to borrow, plus sewing machines for an additional small hire fee.
Bring your own fabric, sewing supplies, scissors, tape measure, thread, needles, etc Email for materials list and course outline. Clothes making also available if you're more confident with your machine.
Aliss has trained in Fashion Design and Pattern Cutting, with further skills in Banner Making, Carnival Arts and Costume making. She has a City & Guilds Tutor Qualification and has been teaching for 15 years.
Great 5 week intro to making clothes. Many skills introduced including pattern laying & adjustment, garment assembly, zips, facings and neatening seams.
