Learn to Machine Sew Piped and Zipped Scatter Cushions
Description
Scatter cushions are used so much as decoration and for function in most peoples homes, used to bring an accent colour into a room, as a design feature, also practically used for support. There are many shapes and sizes, from square, oblong and round, with the internal pads being made from polyester a synthetic base, suitable for those with allergies, or feather for a more luxurious look that will last longer and look good. This course is suitable for students with basic sewing skills, we will cover cutting out and making up a piped and zipped scatter cushion. You will need to bring your sewing machine to the course. Tutor Information Jenny Harrison has a City and Guilds in Soft Furnishings, 7900 Certificate in Education. She has written articles for Sewing World magazine in the past and has taught City and Guilds for Somerset College of Art in soft furnishings for 10 years. Jenny now has her own private sewing classes in Taunton.
