Hand formed mosaic garden shape - full day workshop
Description
This is a new class for an eye-catching feature in mosaic sculpture! Create a welcome addition to your garden, wall or entrance with shiny elegance. You will gain skills in how to design mosaic patterns, and how to cut and adhere glass tiles, beads and shapes. You will learn flat sculpting techniques by moulding a shape of your own design from a 30x40cm cement base. There will be a half hour lunch and there's a nearby shop. By the end of the workshop you will take away your very own garden gem, and will be given grout to apply at home, once the adhesive has set. Your personalised masterpiece can be hung to a wall or fence, or add a garden stake for £1.50. You may wish to bring a bag to take your art home. This class is suitable for all abilities, but some elbow grease is needed for the sculpting. Age 16+

All tools and materials are included as well as plastic aprons. Please remember reading glasses and your own apron if you prefer.

Chrissy Webster is a community artist, maker and teacher of fused glass, copper foiling, glass mosaics, batik, felting, perfumery, as well as other crafts. She teaches throughout the North West and is based in the Lancashire area.
