Description
Learn to fettle a "Great American" or "peg tooth" saw of 3 feet and longer. Whether you have a new saw (perhaps from Flinn Garlick, or Wilhelm Putsch) and wish to improve its performance, or have an old one you'd like to restore, this is the course for you. I suggest we talk first and you send me pictures of your saw so we can make a better plan. Whilst sharpening crosscut saws is quite simple, and I have run quite a few saw-fettling training events teaching virtually is a novelty. That's why the price is astonishing-friendly. My interest is in getting your saw(s) to work and not fattening my pocket.
What's included in the price?
My time and attention. Fleam templates. A pre-course video call where I look at the tools you already have and you see the tools I use.
What you will need
Files, a firm surface to fix scrap ply or plank to with at least 2 clamps, a hammer or saw-set & enthusiasm. And if you don't have suitable files or any other tools or even a saw, I can supply them. Best you send me pictures of your saw(s) and I can then advise what to do next.
