Description
Discover how to make mistletoe and Christmas foliage from crepe paper. We will work with wire, crepe paper and beads to create twigs of mistletoe that you can use individually to decorate a table, tie to a napkin, a gift or wire into a wreath or combine to create a big bundle to hang year after year. We will also look at making Christmas foliage like holly, with and without berries with can be used in a bouquet, in a wreath or turn into a garland that can be used along a table setting or even 'woven' into the Christmas tree. So many ways that paper flowers and foliage can be used in festive settings which we will explore while creating beautiful pieces in green, metallic gold and silver paper. Our Studio is in a beautiful converted Oast with exposed beams and gentle views across the farmland. Filled with mouth-watering aromas from The Oast Bakery, where Alison prepares our delicious refreshments, this is the perfect place to escape the pressures of daily life and enjoy some creative time for yourself. Our aim is to offer the chance to unwind, learn a new skill and meet like minded people whilst enjoying a cuppa and a slice of cake. The Oast Studio was started in 2021, as the COVID restrictions came to an end and we realised there was a need and a demand for people to come and spend time crafting together. We paired together our love of food and sewing and The Oast Studio was created! We now offer over 80 different craft and sewing classes from Needle Felting & Basket Weaving to Sewing & Painting. With freshly baked treats at every class plus home cooked lunches at all our full day courses.
