About the Course
Ideal for children aged 4 and above. Children are introduced to the fun of mosaic making. Using tiles, broken plates and natural objects, children learn about upcycling and recycling to make unique works of art.
Children will learn how to use tools safely, including hammers and nippers (subject to strength) and the skills of design.
This is a great activity to do as a family, as families can work together to create bigger pieces.
Children love the freedom of using the 'adult tools' and quotes include:
'I love hitting the tiles and making a mess. Then the mess is a picture', aged 7.
'I don't like jigsaws, but making my own was great fun', aged 6.
'This is 1 million out of 10, I want to make a lorry next time', aged 5.
'I've been really stressed with school, this was really good to take me away from everything.'
Using the hammer was good for my stress levels', aged 14.
