About the Course
Join this one day collage, mixed media and print workshop at Old Bank Studios.
This is an opportunity to take yourself back to a favourite destination – Along the Seashore! This course is about ‘playfulness’ and experimentation. We shall be working from images of on and around the seashore in terms of landscape, wildlife i.e. seabirds, plantlife, dogs and people, shells, seaweed and pebbles as our ‘starting point’. Using collage, we will bring it altogether with monoprinting to create a lively and unique image with the emphasis on texture, line, shapes and colour.
About the Artist
Karenza is a well established artist who exhibits her work mainly in and around East Anglia. She took her Art Foundation Diploma at the Colchester School of Art and a BA Hons Degree in Fine Art at Suffolk College/UEA. Living and working in North Essex, painting and drawing from her studio in the garden, Karenza is also a printmaker and is a member of Gainsborough’s House Print Workshop in Sudbury. She has a fresh approach to her work which often combines monoprint and collage made from her own prepared papers and other media. She also works in watercolour. She explores her love of the East Anglian countryside and coastline with much of the focus on birds and plant life. Other subject matter are flowers, people in the landscape and still life.
