"We had a lovely time making pots as a Christmas present. My husband was really good at it and made some great pots. I was not so good but Richard was patient with me and generous with the clay and I had a number of attempts and ended up with some half decent pots. Looking forward to going back and painting them."

"We had a great morning learning the fine art of using a pottery wheel. It looked so easy when Richard did it! The time flew by and Richard was great at supporting us and showing us how it should be done. We both managed three pots each and are really looking forward to glazing them soon. "We spent two hours with Richard for the pottery taster session. It was a brilliant experience from start to finish. Richard is great at not only demonstrating but helping as you start to learn the process. The perfect balance of instruction and letting us loose to have a lot of fun. We managed to make five pots between us with a couple of disastrous attempts along the way. We’re planning on taking some family members for Christmas already."

"What a great workshop to learn and try out the raku process. Perfect group size so you get to meet and chat with new people and Richard is very encouraging of helping you to create se fabulous outcomes and tellkng you about the history of raku and how some of the of the results are achieved. I have enjoyed this workshop twice now and it really is something different, the bonus being that you come away with unique pots to keep. Cannot wait to join again. THANKS"

"I booked for a 3 hour introduction to potting on the pottery wheel session. Advance communication was timely and instructions clear and helpful. Richard was really friendly and available to give lots of support and encouragement after an initial demonstration. There were only 2 of us in the studio and the atmosphere was relaxed and informal. I had a really enjoyable morning, felt I learned a lot and improved quickly, I will definitely be returning for another session."

"We decided to take a pottery class as a last minute thought… Came across Richards Facebook page and thought we would give it a try. From the first point of contact to leaving after our session I have to say it was nothing other than truly superb. Richard is amazing and incredibly patient. We only opted for the half day session which in reality, if we had time, I would definitely go for the full day. We highly recommend Richard and will definitely be back. "We had a great time at our family workshop recently. After far too much locked-down family time we were looking for something to bring us back together. Richard’s 3 hour class did exactly that. Richard handled our two contrasting children brilliantly so that both came away feeling positive about their achievements - who knew Richard has tens of years experience in UK schools?! Reality dispelled any myths that my husband could rock up and throw a perfect teapot his first time on a wheel, (but it’s always nice to have something to work towards!) The studio was fabulously quirky and the tasks suitably pitched for our ability. A perfect solution to our need to get away from it all (just for a few hours) and simply be together. Thank you Richard!"

"Myself and my daughter had the most enjoyable morning attempting to make a bowl of sorts. Richard is an excellent teacher and so encouraging. Surprisingly I found it really relaxing and Richard has worked so hard to make it all covid safe, even building a new studio outside. We can't wait to go back to glaze our pots. My daughter ia already keen on another session."

"My mum and I spent a very enjoyable couple of hours with Richard, learning how to use a potter's wheel- neither of us had used one for years so we were both complete novices. We both managed to create three pots- not perfect but with their own rustic charm! We're looking forward to glazing our pots in the near future and then they'll take pride of place in our houses.
