"I really lovely the raku course with Richard. He was very informative and welcomed the students into his studio. The day was wonderful, all be it a bit cold, but there was plenty of tea to keep us warm. The raku process itself was super interesting and it was really exciting to see how each pot turned out after each process. I would highly recommend this course!"

"Fabulous day learning all about Raku firing. Richard certainly knows his stuff, and the whole experience was very interesting. We each chose 4 pots to decorate, glaze and fire, finishing off with reduction and cooling technique. The unpredictability of Raku firing means that the end result is a surprise, and quite honestly a delight. Came home with some stunning looking pots. There was plenty of opportunity for practical involvement without ever feeling rushed. A very informative, relaxing and enjoyable day. I fully recommend this course to anyone wanting to learn about and experience making Raku pottery. I drove nearly two hundred miles to get there and would gladly repeat the effort."

We were able to produce 4 finished pots using different techniques and were able to get involved with the firing process in a safe way. Lovely setting with good facilities. Very pleased with the pots I was able to glaze and decorate. Highly recommended."

"When I booked it for a gift experience we really didn't know what to expect. When we arrived we were welcomed by a lovely group, 7 of us in total. Step by step we were guided by Richard using different glazes etc to produce so many effects. I would definitely recommend the day and we left with 4 pots each, all different in styles. Richard and the group made it a very special day. We stayed in the Cross Keys pub in the village (5 mins from course venue) and got complimentary breakfast £10. A lovely gem of a village too."
