Faith Davis reviewed: Small human sculpture kit (30cm)

"My daughter and I made small figures together from your kit.It was a lovely shared thing to do during her university holiday visit home at Easter and to finish this summer. I often struggle with craft activities and get frustrated and despondent but this has such clear instructions and it was fun at every step from shaping the wire to adding clay to the final colour. We would highly recommend this kit!"

"We took 4 of the hare sculpture kits away with us on holiday for something to do with my severely sight impaired mother-in-law and my aunt. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and were delighted with the finished “works of art”. My mother-in-law was particularly pleased as it is so difficult to find activities for us to all do together. The instructions were really clear and it was good that we could break it down into stages and do a little bit over the course of a few evenings. She wants to do another one very soon. Fab!"

"I booked two places on this hare sculpture course for myself and my wife - a very different choice of birthday present - and it was hugely enjoyable. Jo is an excellent teacher, and together with her husband Andy, she provided an unforgettably good experience for both of us. It's not often one can learn something totally new in such a short time and bring the evidence home ... and feel really proud of it. We're telling all our friends about it!"

"I purchased a duo and small human kit as a birthday present for one of my daughters but also, of course, as a present for us all to get creative together at home. We had a really lovely day using the very clear instructions and, of course, under the “video” watchful eye of Jo herself! Brilliant results and fun! We were disappointed not to have been able to book a Worksop (we’d previously created hares on one) but would thoroughly recommend. We have our sights on a garden edifice or two now… all to “clay” for!"

"Had a great day on the one day hare course. I was very pleased with the hare I made but it would have been a great experience even if it had turned out as badly as I had expected it to. Great surroundings, plenty of space to work in, and easy and clear instructions. Highly recommended!"

"Well I’ve just read through all the reviews Jo and can only say ‘yes, all of the above!’, Keith and I enjoyed every moment of a lovely day. Honestly weren’t sure what to expect but your hospitality, teaching and encouragement was such fun and we love our hares, they were destined for the garden but atm they look great on our staircase where I think they might stay!"

"What a wonderful day at Jo’s beautiful studio. So many choices to be made when choosing from the colourful slate pieces and then from the multitude of coloured glass, stone and shale! I left feeling emotionally drained I think but with two pieces of work that I’m so happy with. It’s great to work in a group of creative people. Thanks to Jo for the help and suggestions and her husband for the coffee! I bought a kit to make at home and can’t wait to get started. "

"I have just made two Slate Mosaics with Jo at her workshop 9th June 23. I had a brilliant time and I am pleased with the two pieces I have made. There are plenty of materials to choose from and Jo gives the right artistic guidance in just finishing the piece off. It is well worth attending and is in lovely surroundings. Jo and her husband are very helpful . A lovely experience."

It was a fab day trying something completely different and outside my comfort zone. The workshop is a lovely creative space and on a beautiful day being able to enjoy their peaceful garden adds to the day"
