A Turner reviewed: Three-Day (Week-days) Bobbin Lace Making - Daytime Mixed Lace Workshops (Stoke d'Abernon, Surrey).

"I attended a Beginner and Beyond 2 day workshop on 22 and 23 October with virtually no knowledge of lace making. The workshop was a delightful session taking me through the basics of lace making in a very friendly environment. Tina's instructions were very clear and the support she provides during and after the course is very helpful for someone like myself learning a new hobby. I plan to join another class or workshop very soon."

Tina's Bobbin Lacemaking responded:

"Hi Alison I really enjoyed taking you through the two stitches, and the other techniques we covered. I am looking forward to welcoming you to another class and helping you further in your bobbin lace making. Head from you soon! Regards Tina"

Imogen is a very supportive and encouraging tutor who guided me through the process, offering suggestions and assisting me with fabric choices. Fiona Armstrong reviewed: Create a pebble mosaic garden feature with award winning artist David James in Ilkley

"What a wonderful, informative course David and Caroline provide. My friend and I attended this day course last Saturday and we enjoyed it very much. David and Carloine are warm friendly people and their knowledge of their craft is boundless. I have always wanted to have a go at making pebble mosaics and to make one with such brilliant artists to help guide me was a real joy, I am looking forward to seeing the finished result. Bear in mind that you will need to collect your mosaic at a later date as the setting adhesives obviously need time to dry out properly. Ilkley is a lovely market town and I am looking forward to having another good lood around it when I go to collect my mosaic. Thank you David and Caroline for running such a wonderful course, you are Stars and your work is Amazing Xx"

Stuart Littledyke reviewed: Blacksmithing course: blacksmith tool making day

"Well, where do I start. Ok, 2nd course myself and my son have been on. Start of the day was Tea/Coffee biscuits etc. Chat with everyone on the course, Adrian and Andy. This one was tool making. We made a pair of tongs and a steel punch (each) now you’d think that’s a quick job. No,,,, I couldn’t believe how much work was involved. Lots of heating, beating and shaping. Adrian takes you through the process in stages, nice and steady so it’s clear. While you're working, Adrian and Andy are at hand to refresh your memory, give help and advice and pass on their knowledge and expertise. Both Adrian and Andy are top notch at Blacksmithing, you're surrounded by their amazing work in progress and they're happy to chat about it. Be prepared to get dirty and warm if you decide to go, your loss if you don’t have lunch,,, prepared, cooked and served by Debbie. Oh and what a lunch, plenty to go round, all home made (including the breads) and it’s amazing. Yea/coffee as much as you like. Pudding, all homemade and is to die for. Back to it and an enjoyable afternoon beating the steel, chatting and joking. Don’t worry if you have no one to go with, you soon make friends in the forge. Now we ran over time wise, but we kept going until everyone had finished, then drinks, homemade buns and cake. Debbie, you're a star, again amazing grub. Adrian, you're a lucky man. Great atmosphere, good food, brilliant instructions, plenty of help and advice, friendly/professional instructors. Just looking to book the next course now. For what you get, it’s a cheap day out. Thank you everyone, see you soon. "
