"Attended the Introduction to Green Woodworking course & as a novice to woodworking, Matt's passion & insight into this craft was brilliant and the day just flew by! Came away with some really invaluable new skills that have whetted my appetite to continue this as a hobby. Just wish I had that workshop!! The location is incredible & sitting around a fire whilst whittling the spatula I made really was something I will remember. Really lovely to hear how Matt & Emma are bringing a new lease of life to the woodlands whilst educating people. Would highly recommend. "

"I had a lovely time doing a full day beginners workshop with Frances. I had never done any mosaic work before but I came out with a striking sunflower on a slate background which is now hanging outside on my garden wall. Frances has a pleasantly relaxed teaching style & gave me just the right amount of guidance to produce a piece I can be proud of. I would certainly recommend this as a great day doing something both relaxing & productive. I am hoping to be back soon."

"Four friends who go back 50 years celebrated a big birthday by attending Christine’s felt-making taster day at her beautiful cottage in the lovely Forest of Dene. Christine explored what we wanted to get out of the day and we were helped to each make an individual felt design which would be suitable for framing. We also made colourful felt balls suitable to use as buttons or earrings and made flower brooches. We had such fun choosing our own colours and developing our designs. Christine’s studio was inspirational too, with many beautiful items she had created displayed. We had a delicious lunch sitting in her stunning garden and Christine took several photos of us at work which she promised to share with us. We were so proud of our achievements at the end of the day as we had no previous experience of this skill. We would all thoroughly recommend the day."

I did the stacking rings course, And then the open course where a made a broken ring in to a beautiful new one. I can highly recommend doing a course at The Bigbury Mint. I hope to do another in the new year. "

"This is an excellent day course. Set in the most beautiful setting, Colin and Sarah are welcoming, friendly and very talented tutors. All my questions were answered in an easy to understand way, even repeated requests to help me sort out where I had made a mistake were answered with patience. I loved the day, the workshop is .. a workshop .. warm and cosy with a wood burning stove for chillier days and endless tea and coffee when you want a drink. Sarah tutored me while Colin sat peacefully whittling and sanding his hand carved spoons. Such a fantastic, happy day and I have learned yet another craft. "
