"Cheryl you were a patient and helpful teacher and your lovely nature that makes your courses a cut above the rest (excuse the pun). I will treasure my sun panel window and the lovely weekend you, Jo and I spent together in the Southgate sunshine. Claire xx"

Annie Stainthorpe reviewed: Basic bushcraft for kids (aged 8+.)

"Annie was energised by the whole experience and her 'weaved' plate and mallet are proudly on display at home. She said that it was the best activity day she'd ever done! The instructor was very knowledgeable and approachable and when I came to collect Annie, she quite happily showed us both how to make string from nettles. Thanks for a great day Ken Stainthorpe (Dad)"

Gillian Brayshaw reviewed: 1 Day Fused Glass for beginners workshop at The Silver Zebra studio Cheshire - Est 2004

"Really great course and value for money. Deborah is a really engaging tutor and expert in her field. Met some really interesting people and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the whole day. Can't believe we made 6 items and can't wait to see how they have turned out. You don't have to know anything about fused glass before hand but I did a little research on what kind of fused glass I liked. Future projects?! It isn't technical or mind blowingly difficult just a way of expressing your creativity with some simple techniques and in a very interesting medium. I think I'd like to know more about the glass. A chat with your dad may suffice! I've already recommended it to some of my friends, was posting on Facebook my before creations so I may be back. Can't recommend it enough. And thank you for a lovely lunch. Your mum's home made scones with cream and strawberries were fab!"

Sheila Mounteney reviewed: Group Soap-making Workshop - Soapology Studio - Nottinghamshire

"This was a very interesting day, with lots of soap making fun. The tuition was expertly executed, and a very informative Soapology folder of the history of soap, and how it's made. It also includes recipes and tips for you to make soap at home. We had a break for a lovely 2 course lunch and plenty of coffee, tea and biscuits available all day. I would recommend this course to anyone. Well done Soapology's Emma and Richard."

"Very fascinating & enjoyable course from a lovely tutor. It's good the class size is small to get the instruction that you need. The pieces we made were all different & beautiful - fabulous shapes & colours. I would recommend this course & have left with lots of ideas & would like to continue to explore & make more . . . ."

Sarah reviewed: Jane's Nice & Easy Crochet Workshops

"Jane brings or even models lots of items to inspire you (beautiful lacy tops, hats, bags or just a simple throw), with easy instructions to follow. You don't feel rushed, and Jane leaves you to get on if you're managing fine but is available straightaway and generous with her time if you encounter a problem. Also, you can book into a class when it suits you and not feel tied down by having to attend a course of a set length. Three hours devoted to crochet with nothing else demanding your attention - lovely!"

Pauline Bladon reviewed: 1 Day Fused Glass for beginners workshop at The Silver Zebra studio Cheshire - Est 2004

"Have just got back from an amazing day spent with Deborah at her workshop. I attended the one day course on " The introduction to Fused Glass" along with 8 others, some had a pretty good idea what was going on but some were like me a total novice. I have to admit attending on my own was very daunting and I did feel quite apprehensive but within 10 minutes of the class starting I settled and became totally engrossed in all that was being taught. Deborah is a excellent teacher who guides you through the techniques of fused glass and then let's you loose to design your own master pieces. The facilities are great with constant tea, coffee and water available all day and the lunch was lovely. Thank you Deborah for a wonderful experience."

Lindsay reviewed: Full day introduction to glass fusing course.

"I had a really brilliant day on this course. Amanda was a great teacher and lovely, putting everyone at ease. I am a complete novice at glass but I learnt so much and am very proud of the pieces I made; Amanda's guidance and tuition was so good I was genuinely surprised at how well my pieces turned out - I never thought I'd be able to make something so professional looking in just one day! There is also a really comprehensive hand-out to take home. Lunch was the icing on the cake (there was actual cake with icing too!), way above and beyond anything I've had at any craft course before."

Maggi reviewed: Full day introduction to glass fusing course.

"I had the best day with Amanda and now proudly display my little tray, my door hanging and my coaster for all to see. I learnt a huge amount from Amanda and really enjoyed trying out the new skills she taught me. The two other ladies on the course were fantastic and the ice breaker coffee before we started, together with the delicious lunch, put us all very much at ease with each other. Amanda was a brilliant teacher. I had no idea at all what to expect and was thrilled to bits with the items I collected from the kiln a few days later. Highly recommend the day!"

"This course was fantastic! I learnt so much! Amanda is a great teacher and also a fab chef, the lunch was amazing. The course ran at a good pace allowing you to take time over your glass design and there was a great amount of variety and choice of coloured glass to use. When I collected my fused glass I was so thrilled with it and have been making good use of the cheese board! I am now addicted to glass!!!"

Kim wheway reviewed: Beginners Hand spinning - 'From fleece to fibre’ - at All in a Spin

"I arrived at Dunja's wonderfully situated farm an hour late, due to a traffic hold up, feeling stressed and frustrated, but within 5 minutes of being there with cup of tea in hand and a biscuit to dunk I had relaxed into wool mode in a comfy sitting room with wood burner, spinning wheel and lots of fleece around me - heaven!! It got better and better throughout the day. Dunja was very kind and gentle and I learnt so much in those few hours to treasure and take away with me. If you want a relaxing, informative and fun day in beautiful surroundings then look no further than Pen Y Caeau Farm!"

Jo Downer reviewed: Crochet for Beginners (Adults) in Putney

"Wonderful- clear lesson, patient, friendly teacher. I made some great progress and took away a lovely item, and the skills to make more, as well as beautifully clear, written instructions. My seven year old daughter did finger knitting whilst I did crochet. Sowmya kept her attention and she is so excited by the project, she had continued it every day since the course. We'd love to go back and learn the next steps"

Peter Barnes reviewed: One to one, One day, blacksmith course

"I have worked at a forge for 5 years and learned more in one day with Alex than my entire training so far, I cannot reccomend this highly enough for anyone who wants to learn from a highly skilled Blacksmith, Alex is patient, informative and willing to allow a great amount of free reign and hands on experience. It is very humbling to be able to learn some time honored skills from someone who has spent their years perfecting and mastering a now rare trade, perhaps one of the most striking things about the experience was that Alex is so willing to pass his skills and knowledge to his customers, I shall keep his helpful advice and information with me every time I light the forge, and I shall most definately be back! Thank you Alex."
