One Day Shoemaking Workshops: Maximum of 4 students on each workshop. On a Green Shoes' workshop you experience the whole shoemaking process from having your feet measured, choosing the design, the leather or vegan material to then learning about and using our patterns, hand tools and lasts. As you progress, you will use specialist sewing machines to top-stitch and assemble the shoe upper. Choose from our full soling range and we attach your soles after the workshop. Your finished shoes are then posted to you within the week. On our one-day shoemaking workshop you can make: Any open sandal, Laurel Shoe, Heather Shoe, Willow Shoe, Vintage Bar Sandal, Field Boot, Vintage T-Bar, Modbury Shoe, Vintage Buckle Boot, Prawle Mule, Salcombe and Branscombe Sandals. A full but fulfilling day's work! General Information: What time do the workshops start & finish? Your workshop will run from 9.30am to 5.00pm with a short break in the morning and at lunch. Please note: We may finish a little later if it’s a very busy day!!! What should I wear? Aprons are provided to protect your clothes, but do bear in mind you will be working with glue and sharp tools so don’t wear your favourite things! As it’s an old chapel it can get chilly even on sunny days so do wear a warm layer. What do I need to bring with me? If you want to decorate your shoes, you can also bring along your favourite buttons / beads / ribbons to make them even more unique!
