Description
In a relaxed and friendly setting enjoy a full day of fun, practical and informative learning making your own hand stitched leather sneakers. Whilst it's a jam-packed day, the most difficult part of this workshop is choosing your colours! You can choose to make a low or high rise style with lots of options to make your sneakers unique. All materials are included in the price, you can choose from a huge range of both vegetable and chrome tanned leather, including our selection of hair-on and printed hides. Using the new style of sneaker sole from 'Sneakerkit' you will learn how to work with leather, cutting and preparing, as well as hand stitching. This is a full day workshop, 10am - 4/5pm. Please bring a packed lunch. Tea & coffee with homemade cake is provided at break times. The soles come in European sizes and are universal so fit both male and female, when you've placed your booking I will email for shoe size details to ensure the perfect fit. The insoles offer great arch support, whilst also having a microfibre top layer which is fundamental in moisture control. The soles are made from 60% natural rubber and avoid the use of glue - you can even undo the stitching and replace the sole or upper as required over the years. Also available in kit form.
What's included in the price?
All materials are included, rubber soles, leather, eyelets and laces. Most importantly homemade tea and cake is provided at break times to keep your creative energy levels up.
