Phil reviewed: 'Art of Stained Glass' - Oldbury, Birmingham

"I learnt so much in just a single day and enjoyed every moment of it! Jamal is very passionate about what he does, which only adds to the already friendly and relaxing setting of his studio. I'm very happy with the glass painting we did and look forward to maybe doing some different courses in the future. Thank you Jamal!"

Aileen Ford reviewed: Weaving: the journey begins

"My 16 year old son attended this course. He is interested in taking up weaving as a career. Ashleigh created a one to one day for him, letting him try different looms & techniques. He had a lovely lunch included in the price. He brought home samples he'd woven & handouts & lots of useful advice. He got a great follow up email with loads of links & can go back for a follow up course for £30. A great course run by a really nice guy. A really good way to get into weaving."

Ria reviewed: Weekend upholstery courses - Oxfordshire & Berkshire Borders

"I attended this course at the weekend and had a wonderful time. It was my first introduction to upholstery and I couldn't have asked for a better teacher and a nicer bunch of people to be doing the course with. I'm normally a nervous student, but Philip put us all at ease. We were given a toolbox for the weekend which saved us having to fork out on tools and the extra materials that we needed to purchase like polyester wadding, kaliko etc were cheap. Before we got stuck into our own projects, Philip invited us to gather around each person's piece of furniture to look at how one would go about reupholstering it. Like another reviewer said, we learnt different techniques through demonstrations on everyone else's pieces throughout the weekend. It was great to see the progress everyone had made by the end of the weekend. It was an honour to be taught by someone with such a high level of workmanship which is one of the reasons why I found the course such good value for money. I'm very much looking forward to the next course. Thank you Philip!"

Susie reviewed: Weaving workshop half day

"A really great and inexpensive way to give weaving a try! The first 45 minutes was an introduction into how looms are set up and then the rest of the time was our own to try out whatever we liked, be it different patterns, colours or textures of yarns. I love the piece of fabric I created and have made it into a little purse! I will definitely go back to do a full day!"

Mike reviewed: Weaving workshop one day

"We had a fab afternoon, immersed in weaving - very informative and relaxing at the same time. Thought Katherine was lovely and we aim to return at some point to learn more about threading up the loom and the warping process. I came away with a piece of work that I was really proud of, although now will appreciate more the hours and talent that goes into creating handmade fabrics. Thank you.”"

simon corrie reviewed: One to one, One day, blacksmith course

"One day course was great fun, a good mix of tuition and being left to have a go (in a safe controlled way). I made a Rams Head poker which is used with pride and joy even when the fire doesn't need it :). I would recommend this course to anyone who has ever wondered what it would be like. Alex is very skilled and good company."

Lee Hinchcliffe reviewed: Creative Vibe - Glassblowing Sessions

"Glassblowing is something that i've always fancied trying and with a bit of free time on my hands a friend found the course online for me and I was so pleased that she did. It was only a 30 minute drive each way for me but I would have happily made the journey had it been over 3 hours each way the course was that good. Fantastic day!!! As only 2 people per 6 hour session lots of personal attention from Ricky who is an excellent teacher and made me feel welcome & at ease immediately. The close attention from Ricky allowed us to create an impressive 5 pieces each with the balance between tuition, making your own creations and helping your counterpart [you work in 2's] being perfect. With Ricky's expertise and patience you will be surprised with the quality of what a complete beginner is able to produce on the day, when I have showed friends, family and colleagues at work the finished products they were all massively impressed. Does make you appreciate the sheer amount of skill needed to master this, especially when working on your own [in my case without a professional]. I can't recommend this experience enough. Thanks Ricky!!!"

Catherine Little reviewed: Rag Rug Half Day Workshop - Hertfordshire

"This was a delightful morning spent learning a new craft. All the materials were provided, with printed resources to take home for reference or practice. Elspeth had a vast wealth of experience to share with us, and she delivered it with warmth and humour (not to mention cakes and coffee). The small group size meant that we got great individual support....and we found it hard to drag ourselves away. The 'hotline' for assistance is a very generous offer too! Give it a go........throughly recommended, and good value for money."

Nick White reviewed: Antique Furniture Restoration Techniques in East Sussex

"Having zero woodworking skills I amazed myself with what I achieved after only five days - all credit to John for his excellent teaching. The small class gives everyone lots of one to one time with John. I arrived with a piece of firewood and went home with a beautifully restored 19th century chair. Everything was spot on!"

Carole Crabbe reviewed: Needle Felting - Half Day - Feather Felts

"As someone who finds it difficult to let go and create I spent the most delightful morning learning how to how to make a felt picture from scratch, and actually found, in such a relaxed atmosphere that I could develop something rather special. I am actually rather proud of what I created, the new skills and techniques I have learned so far, and look forward to joining another course with Jane, but next time doing the full day. As all the equipment and felts are included, and her broad knowledge and guidance really clear and inspiring, this is really good value. I highly recommend it to anyone wishing to learn how to do felting from scratch or extend and develop the art."
