Josephine Drazek reviewed: One day stained glass classes by Le Breton Traditional

"As a young artist many decades ago, I always wanted to create a stain glass piece. We have been so blessed to have our wonderful stained-glass artist Matt Le Breton in Bradninch. My husband and I booked on one of his courses a couple of years ago. We created a sun inspired design to be installed above the portal of our house. I must admit. as painters, we were so unfamiliar with the technique, though Matt was very patient and supported us with the completion. So many friends and neighbours have commented on our beautiful stained-glass piece, and we are very proud of it! Matt is an excellent tutor and communicator. He has a powerful vision, and is an inspiring, energising tutor and artist. Matt also has a warm and friendly personality, and is very instructive and encouraging. We look forward to attending another one of his courses in the near future, and they are to be highly recommended!"

Rani Pert reviewed: Introduction to candle-making as a business

"Ace Day! An absolute beginner, so enjoyed the fact that it was hands on-learnt masses about wax, scents, how they work and so on. Delighted with the results which we took home. Simple lunch in a lovely home I too would highly recommend this course"

Laura reviewed: 2 day traditional upholstery workshop

"Really enjoyed my time on this course. Never had any upholstery experience before but it didn't matter, truely a course for beginners upwards. Karen is really knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Her and her "support team" (husband and kids) were uber accommodating and welcoming. Really pleased with what I have done. Didn't get the chair finished in the 2 days, but Karen has continued to give me support via the evening classes and email. An added bonus to an already amazing weekend was the fabulous home made food!!! Would definitely recommend!"

Lara Strickland reviewed: Glass fusing with artist Patricia Lee - as seen on BBC1 Home Is Where The Art Is

"I enjoyed my first glass fusion course (Nov 16) that much that I signed up for another one in January 17 with a friend. On arrival you are welcomed in with a hot drink of your choice. In the morning you make a clear piece of art work / ornament using 'float' glass. In the afternoon you move on to 'spectrum' glass where colours used. Patricia offers just the right amount of guidance / tuition whilst at the same time you can enjoy doing a bit of what you fancy. The two homemade soups (most guests try both!) and bread is delicious. Hard to find room for the equally delicious cakes on offer. I'm delighted with my glass pieces and look forward to another session towards the end of this year. I can highly recommend."

Sean Hale reviewed: Creative Vibe - Glassblowing Sessions

"What a fantastic day! Ricky is a really inspiring tutor and before I knew it I found myself practicing a skill I had only admired others doing before. The pace of the course is just right and by the end of the day I was so pleased to have made 4 pieces that I could keep as mementos of a very special day. Ricky kept things simple to start off with but soon had us blowing glass objects, adding pigments and learning how to use a whole range of tools and techniques. I can't wait to have another go!"

"I loved the Felt Manipulation day workshop with Emma. We did four different techniques using prefelt and fabric, sparked lots of ideas. Reg and Jackie Manser reviewed: Wood turning tuition, New Forest, Hampshire (1 day) (2 people)

"We had a thoroughly enjoyable day with Graham, who is an excellent teacher with lots of patience. Despite our inexperience and initial apprehension we produced two bowls we were very proud of. I think we may now be hooked on wood turning, and hope to return for a second course. Graham's own work is also very impressive and provides some great designs to aspire to. We bought three of the items and just need to find some space in our house for more. Thank you for a great experience! Reg & Jackie Manser"

"Thoroughly enjoyed the 2 day spinning course for beginners. I have done some spinning before, but had become rather disheartened as things didn't seem to work out. I am amazed how much I learned on this course and am now definitely getting back to spinning! The course was set up very logically so everything flowed along well and it was very easy to see the logic of the various stages and how they fitted together."
