Linda Benton reviewed: Learn To Crochet On The Norfolk/Cambs Border

"Excellent course in lovely comfortable surroundings. Sue moved at exactly the right pace to keep me interested and learning. She explained everything clearly and I was able to follow her lead and instruction. I feel that I've made a great start with crochet and will definitely be going back for an advanced course once I've fully mastered the basics."

Jennifer Grene reviewed: Blacksmithing Experience Day

"My sister and I bought a day blacksmithing with Col for my mum and her partner as a birthday present. All four of us had so much fun - Col is a great teacher, and really encourages you to enjoy yourself and be independent. If you have something in mind you'd like to work on, then Col shows you how to go about it, and if you don't then the forge is full of inspiration! We had a fantastic day, and are already wondering when we can go back for more!"

Pam Cummings reviewed: Enamelling on Copper for Jewellery (vitreous glass kiln enamelling)

"This was an excellent day. I had never done any enamelling before and Eleanor explained things patiently, helping us through the process and letting us experiment, giving lots of hints and tips along the way. I would recommend this to anyone. It was a fun day and we all learned such a lot about the enamelling process, taking home some lovely finished pieces. If you do come on this course, beware, I went back and bought a kiln and am now completely smitten!!5"

Lynn Dowling reviewed: Stained Glass Nuno Felted Scarves Online Class

"Another fabulous course by Lena. Small classes mean everyone has individual tuition and there is room to create on a large scale. Lena is a very experienced teacher and talented felt artist. I thoroughly enjoyed creating a felt net scarf and being able to further my knowledge of felting. Looking forward to the next workshop."

Lyndy Bolton reviewed: Weekend upholstery courses - Oxfordshire & Berkshire Borders

"What a fantastic weekend. I was quite a newbie having only completed drop in seat pads previously. Philip is a great tutor and with a variety of projects all in one place, and at different stages, he managed a lot of one to one tuition as well as group demonstrations . I am totally hooked and will be booking again to take on a further project! And can I say the fresh coffee and hot cross buns were a lovely touch :)"

Rosmarie Starck reviewed: Cold-process soap making

"I did my very first cold processed soap making course at the beginning of February and I can highly recommend the course. We were 3 women on the course. Catherine was very organised and managed to demonstrate, teach us and supervise us to make two batches of soap within 3.5 to 4 hours. Very impressive! Catherine is also very friendly, and very experienced and skilled in her subject. I am looking forward to do her other courses as well. At the moment my soap has been cut and is drying out, being cured. The whole house smells of the delicious essential oils I used in the soap. Catherine provides some very useful handouts and I am hoping to do my own soap in the spring."

Sarah Eley reviewed: Whittling course

"I spent the whole day with my 12-year-old grandson at Martin's workshop and enjoyed it very much. My grandson said all the way home that he had a wonderful time (and I think he would really like to come again). Martin was very clear in his explanations and gently showed Justin how to work and what not to do (eg leave his knife without a cover) which was really helpful. The soup at lunch was delicious too."

Rebecca reviewed: Crafts in the Valley - Felted Pictures Workshop in Cragg Vale, Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire

"I can't recommend Melanie's workshops onboard the lovely Crafty Snail narrowboat highly enough! I have taken her workshops in both felting (with a friend) and mosaics (with my husband) and have all thoroughly enjoyed them, coming home at the end of each day with pieces of art we were proud to put up on the wall despite being complete beginners. Melanie herself is a fantastic teacher and a pleasure to spend time with and the workshops are incredibly good value, especially when you consider the lovely lunch, drinks and snacks included. Treat yourself or someone you love to a relaxing crafty day in beautiful, unique surroundings now!"

"My daughter in law and I had a most enjoyable and creative day trying our hand at silk painting. Bridget demonstrated the technique clearly and provided advice in a relaxed way that allowed our individual styles to develop. We are both very pleased with our vibrant pieces! A tasty homemade light lunch was an added bonus! I would definitely recommend a silk painting workshop gift voucher as an alternative present suitable for all ages and abilities!"

Kirsty reviewed: Mindful Mosaic workshops with Dionne Ible - Bedfordshire

"As a complete beginner, this was my introduction to mosaic and I loved it. Dionne is great, a good balance between providing guidance and encouraging you to learn through practice. Lots of inspiration provided through Dionne's own amazing work and a stack of books are made available. The 6 hours absolutely flew by and has definitely inspired me to do more. I hope to be back in the future."

Andy Robinson reviewed: Intermediate woodworking course

"My wife surprised me by booking me on this fantastic intermediate course. I last built a small table nearly 40 years ago as a teenager at school and since then have really only worked with wood in a DIY sort of way, making the most of power tools to get that job done quickly! Ciarán excellent teaching and facilities reawakened my love and respect for wood and the simplicity and beauty of the hand tools to work it. So if, like me, you are happy holding a saw, chisel and plane but really don't know what you should be using them for then this is the course for you. Under Ciarán's guidance you get to build a beautiful piece of furniture that can, like for me, open the door to exploring a new adventure in hand crafted woodworking. Thanks Ciarán (oh, and Liz ;-) )"
